Took the challenge yesterday to look for the spiritual not just the natural. I realized one for sure thing while celebrating son's birthday at traditional dinner outing, all had burgers mine was the only one cut in half. I felt it was God reminding me not to over eat this big juicy signiture burger from red robin rest. that's how i lost my 40lbs cutting every meal in half. Thank you Lord. Today's challege to choose to use a gift of mine. I used on other son away at college encouraging words and scripture the appreciation and sound of his voice ...priceless. I even got goosebumps encouraging myself singing a song to myself later. Wow that was a first. I was just practicing to be ready when Pastor calls on me again to sing. So that gift encouraged me cant wait to give it away when God says I must continue to search and hear for your voice Holy Spirit knowing the difference in the spirit moving me to pray, give, help, teach, evangelize, etc. just because ALL christians should be a living sacrifice and do such things verses my actual true spiritual gift. I keep revisisting this subject it's time for a definate answer. Gotta go get ready for daughter's music concert at school that time of year again.Buurrr it's cold don't want to go anywhere really, but a Mom's gotta do whatta Mom's goota do. Bye

Glad you are digging into the study and spending so much time focusing on God.

Was wondering if you could explain a little more when you said this....

"revisiting" meaning not really knowing my true gifts from God as sure as my own name. For example all christians should be producing the fruits of the spirit right? well some of the gifts of the spirit is giving , teaching ,evangelizing, pastoring, giving... so how do I know the difference from my personal gift as oppossed to my personal responsibility to do all these at times I find myself doing simply because I love the Lord? Understanding Better? Why do you want to Know?

Sarrah I hope I understand your question completely and respond as He wills. I don't claim to know a lot about gifts but would like to share with you what I feel is the answer to your question.

We all pray, but for some when they see someone hurting, their response will be a deep heart felt prayer and perhaps will continue in prayer even after this person is healed. Perhaps they are gifted in an area of prayer.

While another will see this persons hurting has caused a need for financial help and they will give financially to help. Those with the gift of giving seem to give more and more often with a heart over flowing with joy to give.

Another may have a very deep desire to share the gospel with them. While each one involved may be seeking a way to share the gospel with this person. This person with the gift of evangelism may begin as their first step in helping this person to share the gospel message with them.

While another may begin to encourage them. Each one probably is praying, encouraging, and giving yet with in each person seems to be a leading towards one or two ways to help this person. Each being led differently. Because that is where they are gifted. Each having a huge desire to reach in the hurting through their gifted area.

I do feel the Love for the Lord in your posts. It's a very uplifting thing. As well as a fresh breath.
