Faith Says Something! If I just touch the hem of His garment...go dip 7 times in the Jordan....just speak the Word and my servant will...if you believe in your heart and say....

In scripture you will notice faith always has something to say. Mark 11:22-24 If you shall say into this mountain...believe in your heart those things you say shall come to pass.....you shall have what you say....most do not have faith to say anything simply because they do not believe this scripture...but how did you get saved? You believed in your heart and you said something. Such scriptures as Mark 1:22-24 were given to us to act upon. Few do.

I say few do, because after a little trial of speaking to the mountain, most quit. James tells us that our faith must be quite unshakable to get anything from the Lord.

James 1:6 [6] But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [7] For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Heb.11

1. [6] But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Also, when people read the above scriptures they quit. Why? Faith beyond simple faith for ones initial forgiveness of sins requires work. Jesus said the Gospel of John.

John.6

1. [28] Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
2. [29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

So then believing requires more work. True believers in Jesus are willing to put their faith to work. The amazing thing is that when they do they find the Heavenly Father getting involved with them as it is His will for them to do so. True believers do not quit believing a week after they begin. If a true believer sees patience will be required to gain that which they have believed for, they become all the more determined to add patience to their faith. If a true believer sees that believing for something will require more faith than they have, they set about feeding their faith with the Word of God until it becomes unshakable.

True faith screams out its rights before God! True faith says I have entrance to you Father because of this shed blood of Christ, and demands its rights before God. Jesus makes such a demand a reality because He is the mediator of the New Covenant and watches over the words of the covenant to see that they are fulfilled.

You can bet your bottom dollar Satan is always screaming his guts out against our being blessed. Isn't it time we turned the tables and demanded our rights of him? He has no rights to our body, life, health, loved ones, property, soul or spiritual well being. He has no rights at all, but what, through our ignorance, we give him.

I demand in the name of Jesus Satan you take your hands off..........and I say Father that your Word has promised me..........

God bless you this day.

Saint, I want you to know that I read all your posts (here and in other Forums) and I appreciate you and your desire to communicate with others over The Word of God.

I do; however, fail to respond at times, because it seems I am drawn, at times, to certain wording or thoughts that I disagree with you about. And then if I respond, I feel the need to explain how much I appreciate you, so as not to give the impression that I disagree with everything you say. You know what I mean? If we were actually speaking face to face, I could explain all this in fewer words, but since we're communicating via this medium -- the blank and often cold and flat internet -- without benefit of our facial expressions and voice inflections, sometimes what we write can look so bold, antagonistic, berating -- a misrepresentation of our true thoughts and feelings -- therefore, misinterpreted by the reader.

Gosh, after that paragraph I feel like I need a nap.

Ok, to the point...I tend to wince and cringe when someone uses the words and phrasing such as, "what are our rights as Christians" or we need to make our demands known to God, based on His promises.

Eeeeeeeek!!! I'm wincing and cringing. Ya see, I don't think He owes me anything. I do not feel I have any rights, but I do see everything in my relationship to Him as a blessing. And the thought of waving God's Word in front of His face, reminding Him of His promises, has me picturing me poking Him in the chest and saying..."You promised, now do it!!!"

Do I really think you are suggesting we do that? No, but I still can't get past the wording.

Even when rebuking the enemy of our souls. We are told, not to brag about what we have access to. Let's see...how can I say that better??

Years ago I worked for a City Government. One day, all the City employees were given a picnic. It was a great day of fun with games, food, laughter and a time of getting to know one another on a different level. The City Manager's family was also in attendance, including his young son of about age 9. At one point during a volleyball game, the son got mad because he wanted to serve the ball beyond his allowed amount of times. We all gave him many more attempts than the usual, but as soon as we would say it was time to rotate positions he would get all huffy. Finally, he said it..."Do you know who I am? My dad is the City Manager, and if you don't let me do what I want, you could get fired."

Let's just say the game ended right then and there, as no one wanted to continue "playing" with a BRAT!!!

II Peter 2:9-22 is an often overlooked portion of scripture, especially for the babes in Christ. But, often that is the one area where I see babes in Christ attempting to practice their authority the most often, yet without knowing what they're doing and without fully understanding of the possible repercussions.

Again, I wince and cringe.

Until He grows our understanding, we're all just babes -- understanding on a carnal level as opposed to a spiritual level.

The spiritual warfare weapons given to us by The Holy Spirit, are not for use by the faint of heart, nor by the babes without having had proper training. We wouldn't give a child a gun for hunting game (deer, antelope, etc.) and leave them to their own devices to figure out how to use it properly.
