k125 journal day 2 and needed prayer

Postby k125 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 9:18 am

Yes, lately I need to do this: *ReadBible*, as I haven't been very much.

Pray that God will give me a desire to read His word!

Satan has been attacking me, in my mind.

And I have given in to many doubts, wrong thoughts, etc.

Pray also that I will forget my past and move forward from now on.

thanks

Sometimes you just gotta make yourself do it. But then you will feel better and it will be easier. How to read the Bible?

You can go to various sites and read a verse a day. Biblegateway.com has a verse a day - lots do. And that's your at least. As in, "Well, I didn't do what I intended today, but at least I...."

Cimi posts a series of studies that are pretty good - and they are from a website that you can go to. If you go to unanswered posts on the home page there are a bunch of them.

And reading the Bible for yourself. I think that John and Ephesians are both great places to start. It is also good to read the Psalms. I think sometimes people read too much. I read until something makes me think. And then I sit and ponder - you said you like to ponder. Read to find ponderables. Maybe make it a goal to hit two ponderables a day. Makes it a bit different.
Hugs,

Thank you for replying back to my posts.

Sounds like a good idea to read John and Ephesians too!
