Overwhelmed and sinking

Postby hiddenblessings » Wed Sep 10, 2014 3:30 pm

The bible talks about not forsaking the fellowship of believers. For many this implies not to skip out on church, however in the last months I have discovered it means so much more. Because of the overwhelming demands on my life, my free time has been reduced to minutes of the day, that really should be devoted to work, study, kids, or parents but that I steal for a quick breath. No matter how much I love each of the aspects of my life the truth is talking with adults or socializing has become impossible. Once upon a time I would have a gathering at my house 3 and 4 times a week. It has been over a year since I have had guest at my house. I have discovered that this lack of fellowship has taken a toll on me, my ministry has dried up. My life is more of going thru the motions then actually living it. And worst of all is that my relationship with Christ suffers. I talk with him all the time and attempt to get in bible readings as much as possible but there is not real discussions to challenge my faith or bring up new areas to study, so when I do read the bible it is aimlessly.
