Trying to get right w/ God. Day 2

Postby itsjanet » Thu Nov 01, 2012 3:11 pm

Through my inability to forgive and forget others, I'm seeing that my pride and arrogance has lead me to experience regrets. When I was asked to forgive and move on, I held on to my grudges. I held bitter judgements against others when God clearly forbids us to judge others lest we be judged by the same measure. My actions have lead to hurting family members who are already suffering through their trials.

I'm asking God to create in me a new heart. Forgive me for seeking other alternatives besides His ways. I've seen the dangers of "self-righteousness." The hearts of my family is a disaster, no man or counselor can fix it but God can bring healing. I pray that God can bring healing through our hearts so that we can work together to change the circumstances. My attitude was not right with God. Now, I feel that I have hurt too many people using the measure that I was given. I am ashamed to offer myself to God with my sinful nature.
