Journal day 3

Postby Listening heart » Sat Feb 11, 2012 5:01 am

Understanding and believing that Jesus died for my sins and that God's grace is complete, needing no performance on my behalf,is something I'm more conscious of today. When it comes to my children, there is also no agenda for performance. I can let go of my agenda for my middle son.

I said yesterday to my Heavenly Father 'I know that I don't have to do this in my strength because (my son) is not my burden but yours' As soon as I had said this, I realised what I had said. God showed me that my son is not a burden, but a blessing! When I see the truth of this, suddenly everything changes. I delight in blessings, I can delight in the blessing of my child (even though he's an adult now) This is awesome. What I was thinking was a burden is a gift, a blessing. How could I have believed anything else I'm so thankful and excited today

Oh, Praise the Lord, sister!!! He is so good. Your post totally blessed me today!

My oldest son has been, a handful lol. But, he is God's, too. I remember thinking through some times of trouble that he was lost...but, the Holy Spirit gently reminded me that my son is His first..just a gift to me, but created for His glory! Isnt that awesome! I know that if He was able to reach me, He can reach my children. It is His heart and desire to love them and have them love Him..and He sets His heart on doing so.

Keep praying, sister and speak life and love over your son. We serve an awesomely able God.

In Jesus,
love momo *Halo*

I just wanted to share a Bible verse with you, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast". Ephesians 2:8-9
God's Grace truly is sufficient, it's such a joy knowing that we don't need to do anything. Be persistent in prayer and in your walk with God and He will continue to bless you and your family! :)
