On My Way to Step 4

Postby favored1 » Sun Dec 05, 2010 12:54 am

Wow, today's stepping stone is a bit of a challenge, but I'm determined to forgive and forget what my offenders may have done to me.

I plan on working really hard in this particular step because unforgiveness is what brought me here in the first place. I know that harboring unforgiveness is a sin and that if I don't forgive others, God will not forgive me. I also know that the measure of forgiveness that I use for others, God will use the same measure with me. So, I'm going to take some time and really look back on my life and really dig deep in my heart to see who I may have unforgiveness toward and start my journey of forgiving and forgetting. I'm fully aware that this is not going to happen overnight and I'll probably reflect on step 4 repeatedly to make sure that I've truly forgiven others, as well as, myself.

Please keep me in your prayers as I do the same for you all.

See ya tomorrow in step 5!

*hug* You got it right. So very important. Perhaps that is why it is so difficult. We live amongst a spiritual world is battling over our souls. Continue to reach for the greater of the two. God bless and keep you. Praying for you.
*angel7* Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Hi favored *hug*

forgiveness......this is a tough one. But, it can be done. First, ask the Lord to show you..and then decide to forgive..and then ask Him to help you. One of the ways the Lord helps me to forgive is to remind me that these people who have hurt me in some way are just as need of Jesus as i am. They are humans, fighting the same enemy we are fighting, and have also been used as pawns in some way by the enemy of our souls and theirs. Forgiving yourself is another tough one...but...what He has forgiven He remembers no more, so dont let the enemy tell you God is keep a track record after you have asked for forgiveness. Pray for those who have hurt you...bless instead of curse. You will find forgiveness comes easier through this.

God bless you in this and know that you arent alone. God is good. and He is all about mercy.

also...forgiveness doesnt mean what others have done is right, it just means that you wont hold a noose around someone else's neck, you're letting God be God.

In Jesus,
love momo *Halo*
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.
