Day One Stepping Stones

Postby Guest » Fri May 21, 2010 10:12 am

I posted my Day One Journal Entry, under Shared thoughts & Prayers, etc... because I didn't know where to post my entry... so this is Yesterday's (Day One) post.

10 years ago Jesus revealed himself as my Knight & Shinning Armor. I was sitting in a little Lutheran Church on Easter Sunday (this was not my home church... I couldn't get enough of him so I always going to church... I felt like Anna I just wanted to be in His house whenever I could) and the reading for the day was Zechariah 9, Oh look daughter, Jerusalem, here comes your Savior riding on a colt on a donkey he comes

The guilt and shame I carry because of the way I represented the Lord and turned my back on him after all the ways he revealed himself and his love... how can he ever forgive me and if he does, how will I ever be able to forgive myself... I can't. I am so depressed and lost... I try to pray but can only hang my head in shame, I try to read the Word but it only makes me feel worse and remember what I once had and fear I will never have again.

Hi Rosebud once again Welcome to Oasis
Sis let me share something with you .....We serve a loving God who loves us unconditional . He forgives us and ask that we forgive ourselves. Yes it may be hard but Yes He can and will help you through it. You have to let all the shame, guilt and fear go. Step by step you wil be able to do this and once again allow God to fill you. Take your eyes off of you and place them on Jesus, come bodly to His throne and admit that you need Him , admit that you need the help.
Prayers are with you . I know that with HIS mercy and grace you can do this. Here if you ever need a shoulder or an ear.
Hope to see you in chat sometimes.

Hello Rosebud, welcome to the Oasis. We are so very delighted to have you here with us. So you've made some choices in your life that haven't been very pleasing to God huh sis? Well I want to say we all have and God knew we would, so He sent us Jesus to die on the cross so we could be free from the sins we commit. It is through Jesus that you can be forgiven...all you have to do is repent and ask for that forgiveness...God won't ask you if you think you deserve His grace, nor will He sit and contemplate whether He should give you His grace...He will say you are forgiven my child...now let's start new and try to do better next time. God loves you my sister...and He wants to show you a new way of life...don't let the past be a prison for you...let go of the past...and let God show you the direction of an awesome future...one He already has planned for you.

Praying for you rosebud. Come visit us in the chatroom sometime.

Take care and God Bless
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Rosebud *hug*

You're in the right place. Keep walking the stepping stones of the study. It will touch on all of these issues. And many will be praying for you through them. :)

God bless and keep you. Praying for you now.
God loves you and so do I.

Hiya, Rosebud!

So glad you are here and have decided to take this journey. My sister...oh wow...the guilt and shame are so overwhelming at times..

sis, this is exactly why Jesus gave His life for us..so that the guilt and shame could be layed at His feet. You know this...you have just forgotten...and the enemy lies, sis. He accuses of those things the Lord has forgiven us for over and over and over. Its time to lay them at His feet and let them go...knowing that His blood is enough...His grace is sufficient. Its not because of who we are or what we do...its ALL because of Who He is..and what He has done for us...out of His perfect love for us.

Keep claiming this truth when these thoughts come back. Take hold of truth of His mercy and let Him apply them deeply in to those areas you have received forgiveness in. He knows your heart, sis..better than you do. He loves you completely and unconditionally.

Keep goin, girl!

You arent alone.

in Jesus,
love momo *Halo*
