unconfessed sin

Postby huelsingbroad » Sun Apr 18, 2010 7:10 pm

been reading a lot about unconfessed sin. u know, when we sin, we do so against GOD. in my unequally yoked marriage, i didn't seek GOD's counsel about my partner. i was in direct rebellion of HIS known will by marrying a nonbeleiver. after almost six years of marriage, it has been so hard to maintain our relationship because we built it on worldly principles. my hubby would've tolerated anything BUT my restoration of fellowship with GOD. but all this time i prayed and prayed that GOD would strengthen me, and all the stuff u do when in this type of situation, to no avail. then yesterday, HE opened my eyes to the truth. that i never confessed the sin of this marriage in the first place. i needed to seek forgiveness for doing this my way and asking GOD to bless it.
i fell on my face and asked the LORD to forgive me of this trespass, and i know that HE has. last night, my husband initiated spontaneous lovemaking, this hasn't happened in months, today, he was so loving. i know the LORD is moving by HIS spirit, and the situation will be different. i am following more closely to HIS word with a lil less trepidation of my band. he even acknowledges the time im spending in the study and pursuit of godliness as important to me.
AINT GOD GOOD?!

Amen sis...God is good all the time...and He will accept those who acknowledge their transgressions and repent...by washing away their sins and renewing them in Him. God wants your marriage to become whole in His eyes...and now He can begin to move...just be patient because it will take time...but with God in control you can't go wrong.

luv ya sis
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

*ohyeah* WooHoo
I too know the hardship of my husband not being at the same place as me with God. It's great seeing the little changes but it does take time.
