Getting up again. There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus - except from thyself when Thou hast fallen into the same pattern or trap for the millionth time. Sigh. It's a pride issue, isn't it, when one is surprised by one's capacity to sin or fall for one of the enemy's tricks or temptations? I am always shocked when I am cruising along so well, and then WOW, did I just take that side street or what? Then the enemy gets in on it and tells me "this is the real you, not that good girl you are trying to deceive everyone into believing is the real you". I don't to acknowledge that deceitful whispers or want to spend that much time analyzing the issue anymore. I don't think the Lord does. The issue is sin. The issue is a persistent enemy. I know I have to figure out what happened and what got me to fall for the bait or believe the lie - but, that's it. Repent. Move forward. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I am going to trust Him, as He has used sinful men and women throughout history, to accomplish what He started in me and to use me according to His good and perfect will. Getting up again is not what my enemy wants, but what my God has made abundant provision for me to do...every time. Thank you for your mercy and patience, Lord!
