I am so depressed I feel alone and do not have the desire to try to carry on ..and I am a Christian ..

I'm sorry you are feeling so low, and I do understand how depression can negatively affect a soul -- even a Christian soul.

I am lifting you up in prayer to our Lord in the name of Jesus. May God's blessed will be done.

Gentlethunder there have been several times in my life that I felt alone and depressed about things going on around me but we are never alone because God is always around us and if and when you talk to people you realize that you are not alone because they may have experienced what you are going through. I will pray for you and I am in agreement with the other posters to continue to talk and or write about it cause maybe someone will show you through their experience that you are not alone.

I understand your discouragement. This world and it's daily struggles sometimes seem to much to keep on keeping on but God has said " I have come to overcome the world". We have to know that being a Christian can often be difficult. It is easy to give into temptations, be bitter, be depressed but we are not of this world. As I am typing this I want you to know that in doing so it is building me up as I am in your shoes as well. I realize that I have placed myself in a box away from other believers so I joined this Christian community to reach out to those like yourself who are struggling as well. The Lord said where there are 2-3 gathered in my name I am there. Know that God is with you and He cares for you.

Jesus Christ will help you overcome this trial. Just keep the eyes focus on the cross and you will be a winner. Remember that you have a priest who is praying for you in the heaven.
