Stepping Stone # 1

Postby Moriah_Ruth » Fri Dec 07, 2012 9:13 am

Here I am. I thought that I would give the 14 Day CCCC a try. So now I'm doing the Stepping Stone # 1. What do I got to lose? Nothing really. One of the questions asked is if I'm ready to overcome my problems and to have peace restored in my life. Well yes, however I had to really search my heart. I know that problems will not go away, they will aways be there, however God will grant me strength to go through some of those problems and get rid of the negative problems. And yes, I seriously do want to have peace in my life. So why not?

Many times I have tried to get rid of my problems on my own, only to make matters worse. I realize that I need to put my trust in God in order to help me through this. Trust does not come easy for me. I know in my mind that God will not hurt me. The real truth is I need to have faith in God, not in myelf or others.

Another thing is to believe. Belief can come in many forms but there is only one true belief and that is the belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. I often doubt in certain areas especially when it comes to seeing God as my Heavenly Father. I have distorted images of who God is. I see Him as my abusive earthly father. I realize that I need to change this mindset of who God really is. Also I realize that I need to change my mindset on a lot of things.

One part that I read is about forgiving ourselves. I definetly have an issue with forgiving myself, only because I believe that I don't deserve God's forgiveness. I was always told that I am a bad person, so I grew up believing that I am a bad person.

I saw many things while reading Stepping Stone # 1. I see that I have doubt and unbelief, that I need to trust in God. Need to have faith. Need to forgive myself. The most important is to accept that God loves me for who I am, not what others make me out to be. Also I need to change my mindset. So I am ready to go through with this. Here I am standing on Stepping Stone # 1.

Hi Moriah,
I see you started the 14 day program.
I want to commend you of your thoroughness on stepping stone one.
I learned from it and have read hundreds of them.
I learn something new everyday.
Most of us who do this program generally state similar things as you.
I did.
Keep up the good work and keep pulling those weeds.

Pine,

Thank you for welcoming me here and for letting me know that it is safe to be here. That was one of my concerns, rather it was safe or not. At first I was hesitant. I did meet a new friend here and hope to meet others.

Hello Moriah_Ruth (((hugs)))

God bless you this day.

Yeah!!! I'm so glad that you have begun the 14 Day CCCC Study, and from what you shared in your post, you've embraced the message and blessed Word shared within Step #1. Hallelujah!!!

I hope you will continue on with the Study and embrace, equally, the Truth shared each Stepping Stone. The Lord God loves you so very much, and His Word -- The Truth, Jesus -- will set you free. Thank You Lord.

Prayers are rising to our Lord in the name of Jesus on your behalf. May God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you, Moriah_Ruth.
Love,
Mack

God Bless your time in this study Moriah Ruth, it really is a God send. I understand your struggles and want to encourage you to see your self as God sees you. His grace and mercy is so amazing, and often times it is hard for us to comprehend if we haven't received this form of love on our earthly walk. It takes time to chance our thoughts, actions, and feelings, but it is possible, and with God all things are possible. Steady On Sister God Bless and keep you in his perfect care.
Your sister In Christ Jesus,
Brendolynn

Thank you Brendolynn, I needed to hear this encouragement. I haven't started the Day 2 yet, simply because I have been too busy with work, home and doing Food Safety course for work. I'm hoping to get it all done this week. Because next week is my week off from work. I plan on resting and catching up on some issues.
