Day six
It's been difficult, but I'm trying to keep going no matter how I'm feeling. Self-defeating thoughts keep on trying to bring me down and I remember the phrase, "Let go and Let God." My thoughts need to change so I can change. If I don't realize that I need my thoughts renewed, I will stay stuck and trapped in a bad place.
In lesson 6, it is suggested to read the "Who Am I" study and the following from the "Who Am I" lesson is very helpful to remember:
Another thing to remember from the lesson is to assess why you are doing the things you are doing, to glorify yourself or to glorify God? Sometimes the lines get blurred and it gets easy to cross the line without paying attention. I want to be successful with the gift God has given me and I do appreciate when my work is appreciated by others. I feel validated, like I haven't spent all of my time in vain when I create my artwork. However, I want to remember that God has given me this gift and when I glorify him with my work, it takes all of the pressure off of my shoulders.

We tend to make discovering our gifts a difficult search, but God wove them into WHO you are, your passions, your talents, the things you love to do. You can be skilled in something, but if you don’t enjoy doing it, chances are, it isn’t your calling, because your Father doesn’t want you to be unhappy serving Him. He knows that if you enjoy performing the talents that He gave you, you will glorify Him better.

That is a good study isn't it Cristine. Praying for you to find comfort and peace in Him. May you feel His spirit ever so near.
God loves you and so do I.
God loves you and so do I.
Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Hi Christine,
Look at how you are doing You keep going for HIM, despite your feelings . I know it is hard while you are in the middle of it but God wants you to see your relationship with him from a "faith" viewpoint first, before a "feeling" viewpoint. God's Word says "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6)
Please dont get me wrong, the extreme flipside of feelings is acting as if we have none. God created us with emotions and there is a proper fulfilling of that part of us too.
you are doing beautifully
God bless
