Opened Eyes

Postby CamaeC3 » Thu Apr 21, 2011 11:46 am

As humans we will get frantic from time to time, we will feel defeated when the enemy of our souls aka, the devil is warring over our soul constantly. The last time I posted, I was going thru the whole, "I just wish things would get better stage." When really the only thing that was wrong was the fact that I was focusing too much on MY own situation and even though I constantly seek out God and his will, I still couldnt grasp how you help yourself and trust that God will take care of you at the same time, my own personal flaw I guess of trying to understand everything right now got in the way but God does reveal truth and helps us understand eventually :), but enough about me. I heard something on KLove the other day in a mini-sermon, and the pastor said something that was an eye opener for me, and maybe it might help someone else too. he said that (paraphrased)...lol "We as humans are constantly looking for things to get better, we are so worried about having the right relationships, right home, right job, respect from others, right place in our church, and whatever else we wish would just get better or change or happen so that we can get to a happy place and then do better serving God or feel fulfilled, BUT it is not what we go thru or what happens to us that is really important, it is our response. Think about that word response...In all areas of life we think we know what we want and what will make us happier, but in reality that is never the case. People always associate meek with humble, weak, spiritless, and tame...That is blind. Meek as a Christian is emotions and strength under control, having the ability to stand firm and let God be your shield and armor. Perhaps as in many of the studies on COOL that talk about being led astray by our culture and what the world views as right, we have been conditioned to think and want certain things that we think we are "suppose" to have in life, we have become compromised as the church AKA Body of Christ, distracted by being right, having the right answer, knowing more than other people, individually we are all unique and different, but together we make up the Body of Christ. I think it is time to stand up firm for Jesus. it is time to stop being affraid of what people might think of us or what we think we want in life, and wake up to what is going on around us.
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

God Bless! :)

I am in that stage right now. Have faith and trust God, believe to receive. But ultimately God is the one in His timing that brings healing. Thanks for sharing this...It's helps! Steve
