Help perhaps?

Postby Seishu » Wed Apr 20, 2011 9:16 am

Greetings everyone. My name is Seishu, or at least thats the alias I've chosen for now. The main reason I came here, is because I've been thinking I need to be involved in a support group of some kind, particularly a Christian one.

Long story short, I have some problems. These are problems that started when I was much much younger and now that I have reached adulthood, I realize that what I have been doing is wrong. I've been trying to get away from it, but I've been doing it for so long, its got a strong hold on me. I've made progress, but I know that I cant do it alone either. My previous attempt to reach out to someone... wasn't as helpful as I had hoped. The person I reached out to, its not that he didn't show interest, he did seem concerned to a certain extent, but theres been almost minimal reaction between us and its more or less like he just doesn't care too much.

I need some help with this, and I'd appreciate any help that people here might be willing to offer me. It's just been a rough time for me.

It is great that you are reaching out and trying again! Recognising the need to change something a huge first step. There are many here ready and willing to help...many who have been where you are now, so know that you are not alone. Would love to see you stop into chat sometime...great place to connect with people and get to know others that can walk beside you in this journey.
If you haven't already started it, I highly recommned the C-O-O-L Christian Counseling Study: http://www.christianityoasis.com/CCCC/Forum.htm
It can be very helpful as we take a look at things in our life that need to change and go about allowing Him to change them.
