sorry..was supposed to give the update yesterday..it was bad connection due to cloudy day and raining heavily..

the surgery of my nephew was ended at 4.00 pm yesterday..he was in the OT for 5 hours..his dad sent us the photos thru the net few hours later..woaa..the pics of his post opt..when i told my brother..that those pics were really make me flashback my memory..with all the wires..here and there..oxygen tube..draining tube..urine tube..wow..all still vivid in my mind..feels like it happened only yesterday..he said..yes sis..that was the first thought came to my mind once he was out of the OT..you.

when my dad called him yesterday..he was holding his tears while he was talking on the phone..he said..apel is so much in pain fter the surgery..and it was so hard to see him like that..and groaning..he explained that..they ve rearranged apel's intestine back to its place..where it was shifted towards the lungs and his spleen all this while..sounds complicated..they told my bro the risk was..if he happn to cough..the stitches inside can be reopen by itself..that may he a bit worried yesterday nite..

and then when i talked to my brother..later this evening thru fb..he said..apel is awake already..and can move his hand..they ve put off his drained tube on his upper shoulder and one more wire..he ve just feeding on milk..at first 1 ounce..the next few hours 3 ounces..he is still weak..i told my brother..everyone is praying for him..that s why we can see that he is recovering faster than we expected..

and on behalf of my brother..he says..thanks to u all.

im so glad that he said..yes sis..today i feel so much better than yesterday..look like there is more positive development..

awwww thank you so much mlg, Mackenaw and everyone...prayers really works!

i love you all.

Sla, oh my sweet sister...how I pray that the Lord lays His healing hands on Apel and all continues to go as He has planned. May you stay strong in the faith and know that God is in control. All will go according to His will.

Thank you for the update.

awww yeaa.. thank you mlg *hug*

we got some update from his daddy.. on the first day after the surgery.. he was still weak..and just lying there.. on the second day.. he cud move his lil hand and cud feed on milk bottle.. on the third day...he can sit on his own but not too long..asking for craddling.. on that same day..they ve removed two more tubes... and later a doctor came approaching his dad n mum..and informed to them that..they re apologized because..the analgesic med (fentanyl) that was supposed to be administered at the place of surgery on my nephew ( i think supposedly at the nerves system)..was administered through the drip tube instead..and the doctor explained to him..it can affect his brain and cause seizure..when my brother heard that..he was shocked..speechless..he was blank for a while..i can imagined that.. the doctor told him..the error was from the beginning they administered the med..start from the first day of surgery..only they noticed it when they were removing the two tube on the third day..

since the med is specific for pain management..the action is also specific not widespread like the other common drug.

oh my..how cud that be..he is just a baby..and suffered so much aredy..and they administered the med at the wrong spot..

the doctor ve asked all the nurses one by one..on who responsible of giving the med..none admitting.

my cousin told us..they were other few cases happend before, because of the carelessness..and always they get away.

and most of our cousins..suggested that my brother took some action..like to sue those responsible or something..i dunno too..what is the best step towards the best solution.. but i told my brother..to get himself informed of the med and what are the side effects so that i wud become easier for him to ask question on what are their going to do about it..

eventho we are all concerned for now..last msgs to my brother yesterday..told him not to worry to much..to not give up hope and trust..as He said..everything is possible with Him..and that he is not alone in this..and do his best and He will take care of the rest.

as u said mlg..God is in control..thanks for the nice reminder..

the rest of the three kids are doing great here..God been so good..i was actually concerned of how to take care of them..since the helper has flee fter my nephew's surgery..meant..my mom n me have to take care of them without the helper...and amazingly..they give cooperation well..the elder sister are now more responsible..as she sometimes gave bath to my other niece n nephew..wonderful..the two also give a good cooperation while feeding them..they re not walking here n there.

yes mlg..a great reminder in ur previous post..to take care of myself..yea..i tend to forget of myself when i was busying taking care of the three, the laundry and the house cleaning.. need some improvement in that area..hehe

Sometimes things happen that we just don't understand how they could happen...but when they do we can just know that God will have glory from it...so don't any of you worry sla...God hasn't given up and neither should you.

Prayers continue for all of you.
