dn's thoughts

Postby dn2324 » Tue Aug 17, 2010 11:26 pm

I'm at a crossroads in my life. My heart is deeply troubled, although I try to hide it and numb it from everyone else most of the time. I can see just how much I have hurt my hubby, my children and my family. There are changes that need to happen and I must make those changes. This is going to be a long and hard uphill battle. Can I accomplish the tasks ahead?...Do I have the strength to get through this journey?...Do I hate the sin enough to change and overcome? I'm really not comfortable enough to talk about this now in details. This was kind of thrown at me or revealed to me recently- still trying to digest and process it. Maybe as I learn what it truly means to surrender, then and only then, perhaps I will find God on this path and have the peace I so search for. Well, these are my thoughts and maybe some accountability for myself. Thanks for letting me vent and bend your ears and eyes. lol

Hello dn

Am glad to C U here as well , .. (Actually , I don't like to say that , I mean , it sounds like " Hey , I love to c you're in the hospital , glad you broke your leg !! :) ) but that's just the sarcastic me , I hope no one will take it seriously , for I am glad that you are trying to do something about a situation that is blocking you from the SONlight os the Spirit .

As you said
..Do I hate the sin enough to change and overcome?

Well , let me put it this way , sin is sin , whether we hate it or not is irrelevant right ? , it just simply HAS to go , it is a block , in fact it is block #1 . Has to go means , don't do it again , there is absolutely nothing we can do to change our past actions , but there is a whole lot we can do to change our behaviour in the present and the future .
Can I accomplish the tasks ahead?...Do I have the strength to get through this journey?
Absolute YES on that one , but , here's the thing , we can't do it ourselves on our own , we HAVE to have help from Above and through fellowship with one another , and in order for us to receive any kind of help from Him , we must first turn the whole thing over to Him first ,
Maybe as I learn what it truly means to surrender, then and only then, perhaps I will find God on this path and have the peace I so search for.
to me , absolute surrender meant cut off the attached strings , no reservations , admission of defeat , POWERLESSNESS !!

WITHOUT Him , I am nothing , WITH Him , NO task is too small or too big to be handled .
With us , it is impossible (so it seems at times) . But WITH Him , ALL things are possible !! ... I can go on and on ...

Keep up the good work .
You're in the right place .
NO one gets here by mistake !

In Christ , our Lord
