Hey Hoping good to see you back home You know as I read your shared words...I thought of myself and my own emotions. I've been very emotional for years...and used to I would blame God for the down times...and would be all wanting to be near Him in the up times...but that's before I knew better...see the times we are down is not God's fault as it is our enemy who seeks to destroy us...and during these down times if we will seek God more diligently then we will find ourselves getting help and getting back up quicker.
As for your relationship with God being boring...I use to think that also...that was because I was not seeing God for who He really is...a friend...and when you find that He is a friend you will notice lots of things about Him that you never saw before...and things won't be so boring between you.
Praying for you.
Glad you are back. You have been missed.
luv ya

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Hello HopingonGod
God bless you this day.

Guess what, I used to think the same thing. I hadn't experienced Him, AND I sorta looked down my nose at other Christians. Eeeeeeeek!!! talk about being ashamed to put something out there. But, it was how I felt.
But a time came, when I was at the end of myself and all that my life represented -- even the pathetic distractions I offered myself: frequent naps and obsessive TV or movie watching, and when really, really, really bored...shopping for some expensive object that I thought would reflect well on me and what a classy person I was. Well, I finally started looking and listening to what those happy and sometimes giddy Christians had to say and I wanted some of it.
I remember saying out loud ...If what they have is real and true, then I want that. Mind you, I had already been a Christian for a little over 22 years when I finally said that.
HopingonGod, you've now made a public confession -- it's out there. The lie has been exposed. Keep His Light shining on it, and ask Him to light a fire in you.
I'm praying for you. God's blessed will be done.
God bless and keep you.
Love,
Mack
