Day 3

Postby Cali » Sat Dec 05, 2009 12:33 pm

This really cool thing happened yesterday. I woke up feeling incredibly dirty and ashamed, like I couldn't wash off the ickiness of what I had done and like it would follow me around for the rest of my life. But then I read Step 2 and I realized that all the things that I had been thinking about myself were lies. Those chains that had kept me bound, thinking I was nothing and that no one should waste their time on me were gone. I don't think I've ever felt that good or that free before.

That is not to say that that feeling lasted all day. It kept coming back up and that little tape recorder in my head wouldn't shut up about how worthless I am, but every time it did I was able to know that it was a lie. I don't think I've ever slept so well in my life.

I think today is going to be a good day too. I know that it isn't going to be all roses and Starbucks from this point on--I know that it will get hard and that there will be days where it doesn't work and I forget all about God's mercy and grace and love. But it worked before, so I know that it will work again. Thanks for all your prayers and encouragement and everything. They seem to be working. Who knew?

*WooHoo* Woo Hoo!!! Don't listen to those lies! *ohyeah*

Rev, something that worked for me when the enemy tried to get me to not move forward was whenever the lies started coming into my mind, I would say out loud, "Leave me in Jesus's name" then thank the Lord for being there for me. After a while, the thoughts came less and less. And if I forgot and allowed something to enter, and I entertained it for a while, as soon as I realized, I told it to leave in Jesus's name.

Another thing that helps is to get rid of anything secular that may be a point of entry that the enemy can get to you. For example, the books Twilight, Harry Potter, DVD's with sex, demons and gore, friends that pull you down. Keep the Christian music on to keep you going.

We knew the prayers and encouragement would work *BigGrin*

Heya Rev *hug*

your post this morning reminded me of a song a friend of mine sent to me a while ago....

After the World by Disciple

You break the glass, try to hide your face
Recorded lines that just will not erase
And buried in your loss of innocence
You wonder if you'll find it again

Was I there for the worst of all your pain?
And was I there when your blue sky ran away?
Was I there when the rains were flooding you?
Hoping you see,
Those were My tears falling down for you, falling down for you

I'm the One that you've been looking for
I'm the One that you've been waiting for
I've had My eyes on you ever since you were born
I will love you after the rain falls down
I will love you after the sun goes out
I'll have My eyes on you after the world is no more

Did I arrange the light of your first day?
Did I create the rhythm your heart makes?
Could you believe when your candle starts to fade?
I want to be the One that you believe
Could take it all away, take your heart away

I'm the One that you've been looking for
I'm the One that you've been waiting for
I've had My eyes on you ever since you were born
I will love you after the rain falls down
I will love you after the sun goes out
I'll have My eyes on you after the world is no more

Isn't My life a clear sign since I have crossed over this chasm
To fill the space between Me and you?
And I will do it all over again
Just look for Me, just wait for Me

The One you've been looking for
The One you've been waiting for
You won't have to look anymore

The One you've been looking for
The One you've been waiting for

keep going sis. He is breaking those bondages.
love you,
in Jesus,
momo *Pray*

Praise God revanto it's great to see you getting in step with the Lord. Seeing that what you believe you truly do receive. See God wants to give you good things, and He wants to bring you Joy on a daily basis..but you must allow Him to do so. Now that you are beginning to see that the enemies lies are not the Truth in any way...your using the Lord as your shield and deflecting the lies away. Yep they do come back sometimes or even more they have a twin...but whatever form they come in...is beatable always with the sword of Truth.

Your doing well with the steps revanto. One at a time....a little more healing...a little more reaching for Jesus....He holds the keys to freedom....He wants to set you free forever.

Still praying for you.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
