Why I'm here...
Hello, everyone. I don't have time for a long intro so I just want to get to the main reason I'm posting. I'm going through a difficult time emotionally and spiritually and am seeking Christian support. I have been married a long time, over 18 years and there have been some really unhealthy aspects of my marriage. My wife has classic borderline symptoms and I have codepency issues. Basically this sums up to both of us being emotionally and spiritually immature. When I look back at our life I am filled with many regrets. We have three wonderful children, teens and middle school, but we have never matured in our faith. In many ways things have gone backwards. I'm just now understanding this and hoping that I have finally begun entering into an emotional growth phase. I want my wife to he a mature Christian woman. That is the type of companionship I strongly desire but do not feel I will be able to get. When I dug deep into our situation, why I feel down about our relationship, it really boils down to an emotional maturity issue. Any advice would be nice. Thank you.

Hello Hillyard
God bless you this day, and welcome to Christianity Oasis.
I invite you to read an amazing 14 Day Study on this site, that will help you grow in your relationship with The Lord. It is Holy Spirit inspired and each stepping stone (daily reading) is supported by Bible scriptures, allowing you to dine on God's Word. Here is the link to the 14 Day Study, which is called C-O-O-L Confidential Christian Counseling or CCCC for short.

There is also a specific Forum in which you can share your journal, if you so choose, while reading the CCCC Study. If you choose to share your journal, I encourage you to address some of the Truths shared within the Study. That will help you in applying what you have learned to your life. I, and others, will be praying for you, and at times will offer up suggestions if The Holy Spirit leads.
Prayers are rising to The Lord in the name of Jesus on your behalf. God's will be done.
God bless and keep you, Hillyard.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

Hello Hillyard Welcome home!
I agree with Mackenaw on the study. It's awesome and has helped many.
I want to encourage you as a sister in Christ who was near divorce God reconciled my marriage and it's blossomed into so much more than I could ever imagine. There is hope for your marriage through Christ who can bring beauty out of anything.
God bless and keep you.
