I am brand new here-just reaching out.

I lost my first wife of 32 years to cancer 3 years ago. It was tough! I remarried last year to a wonderul woman, christian. She is very good to me and I hope I am to her as well.

I will get to the point-it hits me hard when my wife shares her observations of my behavior that I heard yet shrugged off from my first wife yet never truly believed or only half owned it.

But now when I hear the same thing again (From my current wife) I find myself thinking "Ouch-I guess there is some truth to what my first wife was sharing!" When she shared it the other day it was like ....ouch!!

I admit-I feel convicted and discouraged-I wonder if God thinks the same thing of me??

Thanks.

Hello brother, Welcome to Oasis, i look forward to seeing you in chat sometime.
in regard to the above, i`m so sorry for the sad loss of your first wife but am equily happy for your wonderful new marriage.
Our father understands all of our needs.
Going on the basis of what you have shared i prayed about your enquiry, i stepped out in faith and feel led to tell you that you have received three confirmations from the Lord, one being your first wifes observations the second being your new wifes observations, and the third being your conviction of heart.
these confirmations are telling you that God is speaking to you.
I have prayed that Jesus guides you and helps you.
Our father corrects those that he loves, so that they will prosper in him.
God bless bro,

Isn't it strange how we tend to ignore certain people after a while but when someone else tells us, we feel the conviction? It's not that you were ignoring your 1st wife... You just got used to hearing it from her, not feeling any conviction.. But you felt the conviction when your new wife told you... Many men that I know are like that.. My own husband is like that, he won't feel conviction or hear his mother because he's used to hearing her nag... so he blocks her out.. I tell him and he'll listen intently. Sometimes, we need to hear it from other people, not just people we tend to block out
