Marital Bliss

What a grand and glorious phrase....marital bliss.
I spent most of my adult life married to the same man. Did we have "bliss" all the time. Oh no. But we loved each other and forgave the other one when disagreements had been resolved.
The one regret that haunts me almost daily....when he stopped by my office and I thought I was too "busy" at my desk to walk over and kiss him goodbye as he turned to leave...on his way to work. You see, less than 2 hours later he lay dead....called home much too soon for me to have said all those things and done all those things with him that I had planned.
So, please learn from my mistake....take time to say "I love you" each time your mate leaves your presence or before you hang up the phone. Talk to each other in the evenings; share your day's activities, even if you thought they were boring for that is from what memories are made.
