De ja vu ?

It just simply put me in a state of amazement , but not surprize , The awsome way the Spirit lets Himself known of His workings !

At first glance of the page , my response was , "oh , yeah , forgot about that " next came the "I know's" then I went "shut up vahn just read".
Am I glad I did , for it opened up a whole new reservoir of intimacy with Him that somehow , for one reason or other had gotten tucked away in the "back-burner" so to speak .

First thing it did was it made me to go back to sifting through the Bible again and in the process enriching more my understanding , for this time I was reading it for the Spirit . In other words I get from the Word what I go to the Word with , when I go to the Word for the Spirit , I get what the Spirit has to say , rather than Paul ,Luke , Isiah , the pastor or the man on the street and so on .
See, here's the outcome of my "reading" of day one .
First of all it brought me to the realization (after comparing with "Starting point" ) by knowing the Spirit's presence within me I , we , all , tend to think that He there primarily for me . ie : If I were to pray for this that or the other to Him , He will grant me my wishes . (yeah , as if He owed my , or I'm sooo "special !"
2) Isn't the Spirit one ? Yes of course He was in Jesus , and Jesus called Him Father and we humans call Him God , hence God becomes a name we gave the Spirit , "First there was the Word (Spirit) and the Word became ...." Please don't get me wrong , I am not saying this in argument or in any opposing view . The point I'm trying to express is , isn't it the same Spirit that was in our Lord Jesus telling His disciples I will send you Another ? and the Spirit came upon them (all) as fingers of fire and rested upon them . Were they "special" ? I don't think so . Just like the Spirit is within me He is with all of us who believe in Him . Those who don't believe have the Spirit in them as well but they simply don't believe it , and without belief nothing gets accomplished because they become a separate entity . The Spirit only listens to those who let the Spirit do the talking . For example , personal opinion , because the Spirit is One , He wants all His children become One , how does He do that ? He makes one person say to the other " Have you taken the 7 day Spirit of Truth yet ? " and the other one goes "yesnomaybe" , Why ? ,

And This is why He wanted you to take this journey. So you could wake up to His Spirit within you. So that you could see who He truly is, and how He truly wants to have a close relationship with you every moment of every day.

Interesting how when you read the Word in the Spirit you see so much more than the men who wrote the verses...you see the Word come Alive in your hands. Praise Him for He is Holy.

Actually, those that are not Born Again, do not have The Holy Spirit indwelling them. He comes and indwells us when we accept Jesus Christ as Saviour. Each human has their own spirit -- whether or not they are Christian, and Jesus when He was born as a man, had His own spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, and He indwells Christians -- in addition to their own spirit.

I just wanted to clarify that in case there are others reading along and just learning about The Holy Spirit.

I myself am concerned about the ones who are just learning , and to those , I would like to say this is only my coming to establish this opinion and it is not , by all means in opposition to yours .

The mother of our Lord didn't even have a clue of what was going on the Spirit had dwelt in her -literally - and then , when she went to visit her cousin , pregnant with John , again having no clue , she said Something stirred within me and from that reference point the next time we hear of the Holy Spirit is when both John and our Lord were in the same place in the company of each other that the Holy Spirit appears in the form of a Dove . Paul received the Holly Spirit on his way to persecute and kill Christians , which by the way brings me to the reason of my greatest appreciation to your reply , without which I would not have experienced the greatest experience in my entire life , in fact I am still dizzy by the whole event .

Right after reading your reply , thinking of a best way to respond , I usually spend some time with the Spirit for guidance , but this time "something" said coffee instead , odd ? yes for me it is , I don't drink coffee past 11 AM , I end up tossing and turning all night .
On my way to Starbuck's , my thoughts still preoccupied with Spirit , I found myself saying "what am I doing ? I don't drink coffee at this time ? " but by this time I was already paying for my order , and this "dark skinned" gentleman , with a heavy arabic accent , in a matter of fact way said to me " You Christian !" (I thought maybe he just noticed my WWJD bracelet or something) but without hesitation or thought the words that came out of my mouth were , in arabic , "may peace be with you as well " I saw his face turn white , then with a sheepish smile he started with the usual " In the name of God ... there's no other God than God " , yep a Muslim . As I was trying to wave the "formalities" aside , I felt this man shaking in nervousness , asked him if he would like to take a chair , he said "one minute , I be back " I told him "as long as you don't come back with a gun , I forgot mine at home"
He came back with a Bible !!! , slamming his index on it said " Where ? show me !! " now I started to do the shaking , leaning back to regroup I looked at the Bible and I looked at him and started without being able neither to control or hold back , laughing ! . I said you're a Muslim , and you don't even know who or what I am , we're in America , he said " and ? " I said "brother , what do you see between us ? " yeah , we both started crying , ok , mine followed his ok ?
without going into detail , one of the first questions he asked "why is your God .... " without letting him finish I said "brother , both your prayer and mine says 'There's no other God than God' , how can you say your God ?" and then I asked him about Adam he said yes , I asked how many Adam's were there ? he started smiling , next I opened the Bible and pointed to the verse "and God breathed his Spirit into him" . then I asked him how many Adams again , he said one ....
He asked me if I would ask the "second" Adam to come to his life , I said "brother ? , only you can do that !"

Mac , when the Spirit wants to talk , He doesn't ask you who you are first , he knows .
If it weren't for you - speaking through the Spirit - this man would've stayed lost , and for that I thank you .

Praise God that He made us with a spirit -- a receiver to hear His Spirit, because these physical ears can get so distracted.

The Holy Spirit does call man unto Him. God thinks it, Jesus speaks it and The Holy Spirit moves. Wooooooohooooooo! Our own spirits perk up like a doggie's ears when He calls. But sadly, many stop for a second, listen, and then shake it off and move on.

It still amazes me how in The Old Testament, the faith of those who never had access to the indwelling of The Holy Spirit. Then there were select few -- the prophets such as Abraham, Moses, David, or Samuel, Elijah, (I won't name them all ) whom God graced with power from on high in the form of The Holy Spirit. And we can't forget the Two Witnesses. God makes sure there is a perfect amount of His Power working and moving in the earth realm -- even in The Old Testament times.

Isn't it cool that The Two Witnesses will return to the earth right after the church is raptured?!!! Again, God insuring that there is a perfect amount of His Power working and moving within the earth realm. The Two Witnesses will again be called back to the throne and then He, our blessed Jesus, The Lion of Judah, will return at Armageddon.

Because we are created by The Creator, our loving Father God, He was so merciful in giving us each a spirit, so at least we would have a chance of thinking on Him.

Remember that old hymn...Faith of our fathers' holy faith. But we also have...I've got the Spirit in me, I've got the Spirit in me, I've got the Spirit in me.

Vahn, I'm so happy that man took longer than a doggie's ears pause, and I'm happy you were there to share with Him.
