Spirit of Truth

Steps 1 & 2
I really like this programme, I had been learning about the Holy Spirit over the past couple of weeks before beginning this. I have found that when I speak to the Holy Spirit in the mornings and invite him along with me for the day, the day seems to go better. I am very aware of the enemy in my life trying to turn me away from here and it gives me comfort to know that the Holy Spirit will be with me if I ask him to and protect me from this.
Its been a very difficult week but I have not allowed myself to be turned away from here. I have been tuning into the Voice of Truth readings on here, listening to my worship CD's when in the car and hope that I am getting closer to God and insulating myself against the enemy.
Thank you Holy Spirit for your support and guidance this week.
Amen *Pray*

Thanks for sharing that. I think the enemy tries to turn us away from here. He seems to know our weak areas and hits that spot. Keep aware of his plot and stay wrapped up in Him.

Love you! *Hug9*

Prayed really hard yesterday and last night for a break from all the current turmoil in my life.Talked at length to the Holy Spirit. Felt I couldn't do another day like it without some respite. Woke up today, got a phone call to put all the aggravation on hold just for a day so have had a day of peace. Its only one day but I have chance to relax, give thanks and rebuild my defences. It truly is a miracle. It just amazes me when my prayers are answered. How wonderful God truly is. Amen *Pray*

Step 3
I have been asking God and the Holy Spirit to guide me and show me how I can use my gifts best to glorify God. My housing and my job are both a bit up in the air at the moment and I am waiting for the Holy Spirit to show me which way to go.
I am really enjoying this programme.

Steps 4& 5
I am so enjoying this programme, things in life are tough right now and I feel weighed down and anxious constantly by it all. The one comfort that sustains me is praying, talking to the Holy Spirit and coming on here. I am not a patient person and am trying to sit back and wait until everything is in place for God to show me his plan for me.
Thank you God for bringing me here *JesusSign*

Step 6
THis was an interesting step, I know I am guilty of beginning a conversation with the Holy Spirit and my minds drifts off onto other things. I will try harder in the future not to do this.
The Footprints poem is one of my all time favourites, I have always read it to comfort myself during difficult times.
I hope that I am strengthening my relationship with the Holy Spirit by talking every day.
Thank you God for bringing me here,
Amen *JesusSign*

Consider when your mind drifts to take the Holy Spirit with you. Talk to Him about the new things that are entering your mind. :)

Step 7
My life is very difficult and troubled right now and reading this step was just what I needed. I want to feel the Holy Spirit with me every day. I know God has a plan for me but what that is I can't see yet. It feels like chaos is everywhere but I am trying to trust in God and feel the Holy Spirit with me everyday.
THank you God for bringing me here and knowing how much I was going to need you.
Amen

Aww Jayney*hug5*

I bet David felt that same way.

David says in verses 19-20 of Psalm 69 "You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor; My adversaries are all before You. Reproach has broken my heart, And I am full of heaviness; I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none."

I love this verse. Thought I'd share it with you. :)

Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint."
