If only for a moment, I could wipe the tears from your cheek
If only for a moment, I could have the answers you seek

If only for a moment, I could erase your pain
If only for a moment, I could help shelter you from the rain

If only for a moment, I could reach out and grasp your heart
If only for a moment, I could hold it, before you slip away and part
If only for a moment, I could memorize it, for it wasn't meant from the start.

If only for a moment, anyone could know my true heart, but instead all only know just a part

If only for a moment someone could see the real me, but it just isn't meant to be

If only for a moment, could others see what the Lord sees

Maybe I can wait for that moment for the Lord to take me, for that breath to be my last, to be before Him, for my fate to be final and decided.

If only for a moment, will I see His face standing before me, what a glorious sight that will be

If only for a moment........
