The Holocaust

The wind swirls around the high barb wire gates
Victims of a world of hate
Hunger, sickness and hard work are regular guests
Now the star of david is causing stress
Thousands, jews, one and asll
but not many can withstand death's call
Wore down by labour and hunger, they sigh,
Many will try get away, to hide
but still in the camps, many get sick, and many die
The survivors wander through unfamiliar streets
picking up the pieces of their broken lives
they carry in their minds friends who they will never again greet
The hate of Hitler cuts like knifes
leaving grief and destroyed lives
Never let this destruction happen again
Never let the hate that happened then
Repeat
