Hello, is there anyone that has an interest or hobby working with any kind of wood? What kinds of things do you do with wood that others may enjoy seeing or hearing about?
Have a blessed evening in the Lord.

Sincerely,

Breezy

One of our family projects: A Rustic Log Cabin Bird Feeder

Image

We helped the kids each make one. For Christmas they gave each grandparent a birdfeeder.

This was a fun project. Made mostly out of cedar board. The kid that built this one added a special touch to the edge of the roof on the porch. Creating his own original rustic look. I love it! Adds character.

Polyurethane concrete sealant was used for the mortar on the chimney. Rocks collected from the shore line off lake Michigan were perfect for the chimney stones.

The roof in the frunt opens for filling with the bird food.

A piece of aluminum flashing rests inside on a diangle allowing the seed to slide forward.

I think the birds like the covered porch which gives the birds cover while dinning and keeps their food dry from the rain and snow. It also keeps larger birds out.

Dear Pine,

Hello and thank you so much for sharing those pictures with us. I think they are beautiful, I wish I was a bird and could move right on into them. They look so wonderfully inviting. Could you make one my size? rofl Love you sis and have a blessed day in the Lord. Your talents show brightly and I feel blessed to get to see them within you when you share them with me. :)

Sincerely,

Breezy

Make one your size? *ReallyConfused* Um...that's a bit out of my league.
You do realize that chimney doesn't really work don't ya? lol
Psst! Simply there are no windows or doors. And the outhouse is out back. You'll have to bath in the bird bath and eat on the frunt porch.

Dear Pine,

haha, well it would not be the first time I have used an outhouse. Not always as convenient as the inside flushables, but it works. rofl As for the windows, and doors, well, we may need to do some fixing and remodifying in that department. I need to be able to see the beauty around me from the Lord, but the rest don't matter. Simple is just fine. So is there anyone around that can help with the windows and doors? rofl. Oh by the way, I don't think that I would really like living on top of a pole either or hanging from something to live in it, so it would have to be on the ground. I don't handle heights to well and to support me and a house large enough, it would have to be one HUGE pole or rope rofl. Thank you again Pine, I needed a nice laugh today. Love you sis and again your talents are wonderful, not just the handmade talents, but your talents that are within your heart. Your share them lovingly and wisely for the Lord. He is smiling because you are able to make so many others shine for Him too. :) *hug*

Sincerely,

Breezy

Hello Pine *hug*

I absolutely adore the bird feeders. Awwwwwwwwww!

Both hubby and I are bird watchers. We have bird feeders hanging all over the back yard to attract them so we can sit out on the backporch and watch.

Your feeders are so pretty.

God bless you.
Love,
Mack
