The Child

Postby Faithful Angel » Fri Apr 04, 2008 5:47 am

A lonely adult comes from the most neglected child.
The emotional abuse that a child endures weighs heavier
than physical pain,
Help the child who's abuser is going insane.
The child looks in the eyes of his parental abuser,
As the parent is screaming and calling her a loser.
The child ask why are you drunk again and falling on the floor,
Please get up I cant take care of you any more.
I'm only eleven, why do you tell me to die,
Why do you slap me when I start to cry.
Please stop screaming at me the child begs,
She prays for the deafening sound of silence....
Such a young child with a heart that died so long ago,
She looks in the mirror at the eyes of a person she no longer knows.
Self identity destroyed...
The child an adult now, parental abuser is dead,
Still so many un answered questions remain in the lost childs head.
Just one answer would set the tortured child free,
When you see me in heaven, will you finally love me....
The child's poisoned mind yearns to break free, but it is too late don't you see...That child is sick now,
That child is me.

Dear FaithfulAngel,

I pray that God will use your poetry to set that child free. Please keep writing and sharing... the voice of the child is finally being heard.

There is going to come a time when the child can rest and the adult can move forward because Jesus truly does make all things new.

Once the memories are all on paper... the mind can release them to focus on the future instead of the past.

God bless you sis, I love ya tons,
