Apple Charoset
Ahhhhh autumn is officially upon us
lg and I will be picking apples this weekend and he asked if we could make this... thought we would share the recipe in case anyone else will be lookin for ways to use a ton of apples
10 lg Red Delicious Apples, thinly sliced (then cut to look like lil toothpick or match stick type things)
2 c Walnuts, chopped
10 tbsp Sugar or Sugar Substitute
2 tbsp Gound Cinnamon
1 tbsp Manishevits Grape Kosher Wine (or any kosher sweet grape juice or wine you like to serve)
After slicing and chopping necessary ingredients, add apples and walnuts to a large bowl and sprinkle wine or grape juice over mixture. Add cinnamon and sugar to a small bowl and mix until well combined; pour over apples and fold to incorporate. Cover and refrigerate overnight, serve very cold and avoid allowing mixture to come to room temp as funky things happen to warm apples and grape juice/wine.
If you are not making this for a gathering, or a large group of people otherwise, quarter the recipe cuz it makes a TON!
Enjoy it y'all!
