My faithful companion for the past 12 years is gone. Today I have come to grips with the fact she is probably dead. You see, she is/was a totally indoor cat, but last week she slipped outside without my knowing it...until bed time. We have searched the area, gone door-to-door, placed notes on FaceBook, etc. No one has seen her. Some folks don't get attached to their pets (some don't even have pets), but Kat was a big part of my life. When I was recovering from cancer surgery and going thru chemo treatments, she sensed that I needed more gentle attention...and she gave it.

If she returns, I shall rejoice. If she is gone forever, I will treasure the memories she left with me. A regret I have.....there are no pictures of my precious Kat....only in my mind.

Please pray that she is not somewhere out there in the "big wide world" scared and unable to find her way home. Thank you.

Sassy I feel your pain. I had one that slept so very close to me every night. she disappeared. I hurt so bad for years I couldn't get another.
