why?

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

why?

I get on this forum and read other peoples post. Then I try and give some encourgement. I even write how I am doing good. But today was not to good. I failed. I listened to the voices nd gave in. I don't understand why this has to be so difficult. I am thinking of just putting this computer away for a while but I don't know if that will help. I am not giving up but I don't know what elese to do. Today has been a real troubled day for me.

I am scared about this because I don't want to end up back the way I was.
How many times am I going to be forgiven before God says "well, he will never learn?"

Sometimes I wonder if I am trying to hard to be perfect instead of working on progress.  *bottle* *Sorry2*

hello brother bluebird :)

failing is subjective..we can fail in anything in life.

i have failed too many times, u are not alone.

thats right progression is the key.

His grace is enuff for us, more than we think. dun have to understand, believe and receive..

we have to get up and run again, now that we will be more aware where are the snare..and become wiser on seeing them coming again :)

God bless u

Hi Bluebird,

I hope you return to read because, I want you to know that I'm glad you posted.

I had pretty much the same kind of day.

I am not doing too well over here either.

blue *bighug*

thats right my friend progress.

It will get easier over time, dust off and try again, youve come along way thus far. Look at all the progress you have made! Focus on the positive things and press on.

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

bluebird, you know what? God is a forgiving God...and He loves you. So you fell and struggled today. Tomorrow is a new day...time to get up and get back to the fight. Sometimes we can try our best and go for a long while without a fall but then the sneaky enemy disguises himself and bam he gets us to fall. But don't fret so much on the fall and how many times you fall. Concentrate on repenting, getting up, and moving forward.

Praying for you my friend.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Thanks everyone. You know, the closer I get to God the harder the attacks from the devil are. This morning I was reading my devotionals and one of them was about sinning and forgiveness. On the devotional there was the following quote from Sir Thomas Fuller (1608-1661)

He that falls into sin is a man; that grieves at it is a saint; that boast of it is a devil.

I thought this was pretty neat to get after what I went through Monday..
Thanks again everyone and may you and your families have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving.

Luv in Christ
