Thank you, everyone---for your kindhearted prayers and responses to my posts.

I have finished Chemo #5 out of 6!

How I praise God for this!

My Oncologist has me coming in to get Zofran and hydration via IV every day it is needed. It is his hope to keep me from needing to be hospitalized, and it's working!

A friend is picking me up for church tomorrow---second service.

Please pray that the owners of the apartment complex in which I live will respond favorably to my letter.

Love and hugs in Christ to all----------

Hello, everyone----------

I have my last chemo on Sept. 1st!

Also on that day, I see my Oncologist. We have much to discuss. I will be kept on Herceptin for a year after chemo. Herceptin helps to prevent a recurrence of the cancer elsewhere in the body.

On Aug. 27, I see my surgeon. We will discuss my upcoming modified radical mastectomy on the right (removing lymph nodes also) and left mastectomy.

Friends from church are gearing up to provide me with around the clock care following my surgery.

I do not fear surgery---I know my gentle, loving Jesus will take care of me.

My church is going to Israel in 2011---I hope to make the trip to Israel with them!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Love & hugs from your sister in Christ-----------

Hello, my brothers and sisters in Christ----

Tomorrow I go to the Regional Medical Center to have blood drawn to make sure all my counts and chemistry are good.

Tuesday, Sept. 1st is Chemo #6 of 6---last one!

Then I will go in to Oncology for 2 or 3 days so I can receive medicine via an IV through my port so that I get sick fewer times and don't have to be hospitalized.

How I praise You, Lord Jesus, that this is my last chemo!

Love & hugs----

thank you all so much for your beautiful prayers!

i fell yesterday---no fractures---elbow of left arm very painful and in a sling. i'm typing with one hand.

i saw my oncologist today. he wants me to receive an additional 8 months of Herceptin.

called my neurologist yesterday to see if anything can be done---or the cause determined---about the dizziness i have had since jan. '09. she has been my neurologist for 39 years! she wants me to see a neurologist out here---her office is 150 miles round-trip.

i told my oncologist about this, and my oncologist has ordered that i have an MRI scan of my brain.

i mentioned to him that my maternal great-grandmother and my Mom had died of brain tumors.

he said a brain tumor usually presents with more symptoms and added that "a brain tumor is possible."

i informed him that i get very anxious confined in a closed MRI scanner, so he will prescribe a low dose of valium to be taken half an hour before the scan.

(last time i had an MRI, i said to the tech---if there is an earthquake, be SURE to get me out of this machine!) he laughed.

he is a very good oncologist---knowledgeable, kind, caring and compassionate (cute, too!)

i praise our Lord for His loving, gentle care of EACH of us!

Dear Pamela,
I am sorry that it has been so long, since I have been in contact with you.
I have been extra busy at work, and unable to get access to the internet.
Be assured, that I have not forgotten about you. You are daily in my thoughts and prayers.
I praise God that your chemo should be over now.
I pray for you, as you will need to have a brain scan. May God continue to give you peace, comfort, and healing.

God Bless you my friend.
Love and Hugs,
Tina

Praise report----

I've just returned home from being taken to Radiology.

My chemo port fluoroscope with iodine contrast reveals that my port is now working fine! I won't need to have my port surgically replaced, and I can resume treatment with Herceptin for another 8 months!

God is so excellent!
