Hold on Tight

Postby kimberly » Wed Aug 05, 2009 9:50 am

Do you ever relate to Him thru secular music? Some of my favorite songs from long ago have new meaning for me now that I know Christ...

My Dream is Him----He is what I hold on to.

Hold on Tight ----by ELO:

Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see your ship go sailing
When you feel your heart is breaking
Hold tight to your dream.

Its a long time to be gone
Time just rolls on and on
When you need a shoulder to cry on
When you get so sick of trying
Just hold tight to your dream

When you get so down that you cant get up
And you want so much but youre all out of luck
When youre so downhearted and misunderstood
Just over & over & over you could....

Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see the shadows falling
When you hear that cold wind calling
Hold on tight to your dream.

Oh, yeah
Hold on tight to your dream
Yeah, hold on tight...
To your dream.

Hello Kimberly *hug*

Wooooohoooooo!!!

Who can forget the sounds of Electric Light Orchestra and the voice of Jeff Lynne. It's no wonder Jeff hooked up later with Roy Orbison and Tom Petty and George Harrison and Bob Dylan and a few others at times as the Traveling Wilburys. His voice harmonized so well with Roy's.

"Hold on Tight" is a cool song. The lyrics are great, and the music is fun -- even when doing things as mundane as washing dishes, dusting, vacuuming, etc. *BigGrin*

Thank you for that little spirit trip down memory lane.

Love,
Mack
