Hey,
I have to say - alarm bells rang when I read this... I know that at my kids' High School, there are some goths and they have taken it waaaay too far and they are, unfortunately, satanists. But the crazy thing is, that their parents have actually brought them up llike this. So.... I know this is a completely different thing but I just wanted to say why the alarm bells rang.
I have actually just googled 'Christian goths' and there is a Christian goth scene out there. BUT... I am sooooo wary of the general 'dark' nature of it all, that I'm worried it may be difficult to disassociate with the general goth scene and that in fact it could even be a stepping stone into that general scene. Which could spell trouble. I AM a paranoid parent though
Although my teenage years were, ahem, a 'while' ago... I still remember the draw into the metal scene etc and also the need to 'be' a goth or a punk etc. Often, people feel this need to change if they're not too happy with their way of life or even with their own personality. And with the change of scene, there was often a significant change of personality which would kinda go hand-in-hand with the goth/punk scene.
So, Belle, pleeeeeeeeeeease be wary of this and PLEASE don't change your personality because you have such a wonderful, friendly, joyful nature which is the kind that brings a smile to a person's day It would be tragic to lose ANY of that to the dark goth scene. I know you have no intention of losing any of that BUT it's very easy to let these things take over. I have spent all my life in rock bands etc and I have seen this happen many times and it's not good.
So I would say just be yourself Belle, because you don't NEED the goth thing. You are wonderful as you are.
And your other question was 'is it ok with God if i'm goth?' Well, I can't answer for God but I know that I've committed myself to other stuff before now that has taken my focus off Him. So I've ditched the other stuff
I hope I'm not being too preachy or judgemental (I'm sure many goths are very nice people ) but I hope I've been of some help.
May God Bless you
Simon

Bella, first of all, I love you. Second of all, goth is a very dark thing. They are interested in death and self mutilation. You can be interested in their style and not be goth. But I think that you are great the way you are! Changing your wonderful, bright, cheery personality is a little extreme. Goths are usually dark, angry, and/or sad. I am sure goths are nice, but you aren't goth. God made you perfect just the way you are. I love Bella's style, not goth Bella style. I can't tell you if it is okay with God; that is between you and God.If you have doubts, just go to God. I can't force you to do something, but I can advise you. God and my heart are telling me don't go goth. Bella, you are beautiful just the way you are. Goth is something that isn't you. I don't have a problem with goths, I just don;t want you to change into something you aren't. I love you SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!
Thanks for coming to us about this!

Okay, I'll play the bad cop:
( with one hand on my hip and the other hand waving the pointer finger and with my eyes peering over the top of my glasses, in my sternest parenting voice )
NO! Its NOT ok! ILuvAnime, you are too beautiful to be hiding behind that mask!
Okay, now that I got that out of my system... ...Lets try this:
1 John 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Revelation 21:23
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
And in the words of my favorite cucumber and tomato:

ILuvAnime, what ever apparel you decide to don, keep true to the Truth, and let that Light shine.
And remember, you are precious in our eyes, but mostly you are precious in His eyes.
Love ya little sister!

Heard this one guy talkin bout this dream he had.
He said something to the effect:
" I had a dream that one day man would not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
