1 1/2 more hours til the weekend begins...tired....I had energy through this morning and now the entire week has caught up...I feel exhausted. Sometimes I just wish things would slow down for just a little bit.
Lots on my mind today...this guy who was supposedly going to burn the koran and now is not...and the way he has sought glory for himself through the media saying it's for God but is actually attention for himself...makes my heart hurt for the Lord....
All the hurting souls I see coming through the doors of the Oasis counseling forum...as well are on my heart and mind....just spending lots of time in prayer for them.
Honestly I just feel a bit dumpy...hoping to cheer my spirit in some peace over the weekend.

Feeling a tad better...had a good time at the game tonight. At first it started out not so good...but improved.
I want to share a story...our football team is just sad...they have lost all 3 games they've played this season. It's because of the coach. His son is not a good player, but the coach insists that his son be quarterback. The kids resent this as they know there are other kids on the team much better than the coach's son...tonight it all came to a boiling point...the boys stopped playing...they let the quarterback get sacked time and time again...they didn't catch the ball...the wouldn't play defense...the first half was a nightmare...and at halftime the score was 39 to 0. At the end of the first half...the coach's son got hurt...which was a sad thing...but he was ok...and at the start of the second half...they finally put in another kid as quarterback....and the team came alive...they did not allow the other team to score at all in the second half...and they came back to score 14 points themselves....it was a huge change of morale for the team....and what a difference one person can make for the entire team...sorta like serving God on team Christ...it takes just one of us not walking in tune totally with the Lord to put us all out of sync...
Til next time...

Alrighty folks...I'm venting...so if you don't want to read a vent...stop here!
If there is one thing I despise immensely it's a threat by someone to call their lawyer....if you are gonna call a lawyer fine...do it....and send me a lawsuit...but do not just talk about it as if you saying it will carry some weight...cuz when you talk about it your trying to use a scare tactic...and that just ain't working with me. And...above that just because you are wrong...and trying to be sneaky...and get around the rules...and you've been busted...does not mean that you threatening to call your lawyer will make a hill of beans difference to me. You are wrong...and you know you are wrong...and until I have a court order I will stand firm.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Ok I got that out...now I can leave it...before I let this guy's attitude steal my joy.
Lord please take this burden from me.

A threat ? What's that ? Is that one of those I'm-gonna things ?
Don't know much 'bout the who's , whats or why's , but I do know this , where I come from threat do not exist , you either did it or you didn't , the I'm gonna stuff ... well basically it falls in the same category of the "I'm gonna burn someone else's books" stuff right ? Until I get all the attention that is ! (CHILDISH)
In Christ , our Lord

I always think I'll get to bed a bit earlier tonight...but here I am 11:30 still up.
Been sharing a lot of virtue lately....I have been working on storing up more too...
I was thinking today...about the things God is doing in my calling...the different and new directions He is leading and how well He knows me...it's just so exciting to be used by Him...
Thank God for the most beautiful friend He could ever have brought into my life. The joy that comes from talking with this friend...well it brightens my day...puts a smile on my face....
Lots of random thoughts tonight...guess I'll go try and sleep now.

When your life flashes before your eyes at the hands of a 15 year old...things tend to get a tad interesting. I guess this may seem a tad funny now...but last night it wasn't.
Nene is learning to drive...and most of the time I let her drive during the day, but last night she wanted to drive home from voice lessons around 9 PM. Of course, it was already dark. I agreed as I was tired. Well as we are driving along, nene starts to complain about how she can't see very far in the dark with the lights on, so I told her she needed to put the lights on bright. Instead of nene asking how to do it...she assumed she knew how and the next thing I know we are driving down the highway at 65 miles an hour in total darkness...I'm yelling at poor nene by this time...what have you done turn the lights on...and she's not slowing down after about 15 sec or so...felt more like 10 minutes, nene gets the lights back on and I pull my heart out of my throat. I told her then that I'd show her later how to turn the lights on for her to get us home...well about 2 miles down the road, there's a skunk in the middle of the road...and he's just walking around. Well poor nene never encountering an animal before doesn't react fast enough and hits the poor skunk...and then she slams on her breaks after she's already hit the skunk and then she starts bawling. I'm like stop crying or you won't be able to see the road, and you need to keep driving because stopping won't do anything now. Finally after another 10 minutes we get to our destination and I tell her next time there is an animal in the road you need to slow down before you get to it and you can move over in the other lane and go around it.
Whew! What an experience...and nene said to me...I'm never driving again at night...and I said oh yes you are you have to learn...so til next time on the road with nene at the wheel...I'll be doing a bit of praying.

grrrr I can't focus today...I am so absolutely exhausted after this long week...work has just been tasking...a continual flow of people who want, want and want some more...yesterday they even went as far as to discuss cutting me in half because so many people needed my attention at the same time...jokingly of course...but it shows how nuts things have been.
So here I am...things aren't as hectic today...but still crazy...so when I've had a moment...I will try and read some of the forums and try and respond to the posts...but I just can't focus long enough to get through them...so think it's best I just wait and try again later or even tomorrow.
I am so thankful it's Friday!

I feel awesome! Woohooo I got like 10 hours of much needed rest last night! I am now able to focus...and got to read and reply to all the counseling posts I missed....It's so very important to learn my limits and know when I need to just sit at the feet of Jesus...and then the blessing after I refresh...is to help and know I'm doing a better job than I would have if I had tried on my own when I was tired....could have ended up hurting the sheep instead...so was great to wait.
I posted a question in called Christians last night and I've had a couple of people pm me about my question....what's more interesting though is they really didn't have much of an answer...they found it to be a very interesting question though...been thinking on this same question some today still....how easy it is to be tricked by the enemy....so how does one know which it is?
Anyway...tomorrow I teach my 3rd Sunday School class for the children...gonna be fun...got to get donuts and donut holes for them...got something else to teach them...so gonna use the donuts and donut holes to show them. Then I'll let them eat the treats as I'll buy some extras
Then I am off tomorrow afternoon to drive to a training for work...will be offline most of Monday as I have class all day and the drive home after. Looks like I'm gearing up for another crazy week!

Ok...this really stinks...here I wrote out this halfway long post...and now I lost it and am beginning again...goes to show what kind of day I'm really having
Constant arguing, bickering, complaining, and whining is all I've heard for over the last 2 hours...and I'm sitting here trying to keep from just telling everyone to "shove it". They are making me grumpy. I wonder if this is how God feels at times listening to His children complain, complain, complain...and here I am complaining as well
I have so much I should be thankful for and I am...but instead of looking at Him and His goodness...I'm being drug down by the enemy and his constant turmoil...I've got to keep fighting...got to endure the trials...I was feeling better this morning when I awoke...but now I'm back to feeling dumpy and grumpy
II Timothy 2:3-4
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

It's been a few days since I've written anything here. Well things are better and I am so thankful.
As I've shared before, I'm now teaching children's Sunday School at my church. The little ones are 4th and 5th graders. They amaze me with their eagerness to learn and search out the Word. Yesterday we were to read some verses in the Bible, as the lesson was on who is the Holy Spirit. One of the little 4th graders asked if he could use my Bible to look up all the scriptures and read them to the class. That's something I have got to get my church to do is purchase some Bibles for these children to use in class. I am amazed no one has requested any before....maybe they felt the children were too young to use them...but these children are smart and they are eager to find their way around the Bible. The little boy who used my Bible yesterday, he would look and see the scripture was in Leviticus or Romans or Acts etc. and he would ask me, "do I look in the Old Testament or in the New?" Then I'd tell him where to look and he would find the book in the Bible...then he would search out the chapter and verse. At first I had to guide him on how to find the chapter and verse, but by the end of the class he was looking the scriptures up on his own. Then he would share them with the class. I'd like to be able to switch up verses and have each child find a different one....gotta work on getting those Bibles for sure.
I just pray that God is pleased with the service I am doing with these children. I am having a blast...and the kids seem to be having lots of fun too...they are always asking questions and sharing ideas and thoughts. There's not one moment they aren't talking.
I've also mentioned the little boy who tends to be a handful...and this past Sunday he was truly just that in class. I've got to figure out how to keep his attention. He does really well when he is reading, but when he has to wait on another to read..he gets a bit impatient and starts either rolling around on the floor, or playing with his chewing gum that he brought from home, and has removed from his mouth(which I fear will end up in his hair or another child's hair)....not sure how to gain his attention and keep it...but prayer is where I'm starting.
I have a trip to NY coming up in less than 2 weeks. I started making all the last minute arrangements today that I will need for my trip. God has revealed to me that He wants me to do some witnessing while I am there. I'm excited to see what He has planned.
Well til next time....
