Hello again cypress
You know , I don't recall reading anywhere or seeing , hearing anyone saying that this walk is easy . Man being sinful by nature , the Christian walk simply goes against it , and of course , in the process , at first everything seems to be awkward and uncomfortable and we automatically interpret uncomfortable as "difficult" . At first , it's like , some part of the body being in a cast , well , the reason that the cast is there to begin with means that something was broken and if it keeps moving the way it is , it will stay that way , broken . What happens when the cast gets to be put on ? Hah ,EVERYTHING is in the way right ? I mean , first off , our whole body gets effected by it , we start favoring other parts of it , and get overworked and sore , I have seen people , funny as it is , that just had a digit in their little finger bruised , and they were limping !
After being in a cast for a couple of days , that part starts itching right ? And no matter how much the doctor and everyone else tell us its a sign of healing , we go "healing my eye !" . But we also know that sooner or later that cast is going to come off and we are not paying attention to that itch no more why ? Its because we shifted our focus and started looking forward to that day right ?
Another reason we get to feel dismayed is not as much because we had "turned" Christian , but rather now that we saw the Light and enjoying its Rays , we begin to see the sorrow in others who haven't yet and that , I think is what saddens us most , and we want , naturally , go out there and try to pull them out , forgetting the fact that we ourselves are still in the cast , and even with the cast off we are still , at first , "sore" (weeds) .
The reason a rosebush has thorns , is to protect the rose for everyone else to enjoy and marvel the beauty of it .
In Christ
Luv ya brother

Stepping Stone 3 God's Grace
Oh Lord...teach me your will for you are my God. Please show me the way in the midst of my current trials. God I pray that you help in bringing my family close to you and that I may see doors of opportunity open to secure a new position. I am in desperate need of finding a way to pay my bills, replace my vehicle, and finding a new job. Lord, I know that you have placed me in the midst of trial to test and strengthen my faith in you. Lord, thank you for all you have done for me especially sacrificing Your one and only son for my salvation. Lord, please hear my prayers. I love you, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Hi cypress, it was a pleasure to meet you in chat last night.
As I read your post on step 3 this verse of scripture came to mind:
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Jesus wants you to have peace through this time of trials. He hears your prayers and He will never leave your side.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
He wants you to be strong and to not be afraid. God doesn't want you to worry. He knows your needs and He will provide.
Matthew 6:25-34
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
My prayers are with you.
Take care and God Bless

Lord of Heaven and Earth,
Thank you so much for the folks at Christian Oasis and for their encouraging words.
Thank you Lord for healing my body from my recent accident. I think, physically, I am 100% recovered.
Mentally, though, I think I have a ways to go. My trajectory with my faith in Christ is giving me a new relationship to You, my Father. I seek your eternal destiny and providing a new strength for my present challenges. Lord you know I have had quite a few challenges..and I bow down to you in obedience. Please help me along my God. I desire to grow a new relationship with You, my God by turning to Christ in faith. I know the Bible uses various expressions to describe this change; which all have as a common denominator of Your love as my salvation.
I can't help but feel that I have screwed up my life somewhat. My recent auto accident, difficulties within my family, and losing my job have all come crashing down on me all at once and have shaken me to my core. In the rumble, you have reached down to me and continue to show me ways that you love me, in ways that I haven't seen before. Oh God, help me now. Help me to follow your word and your light. Please God, I love You and wish to be reconciled by You. Please show me what to do God.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; Psalm 34:18, 19

My brother, you have already been reconciled to God, through your faith in Jesus dying for you and taking your place on the cross. He hears every one of your prayers. All these seeds you are planting into your family are there..the Chritian music, the prayer, the reading His word, the faith you show in God in your daily walk...all of these are seeds being planted into their hearts. God hears you. Keep going, my friend, He is faithful to finish what He has begun in you..and in your family and in your lives.
standing with you in your prayers, cypress. God bless you.
His perfect will be done in your lives.
in Jesus,

Amen to both of today's posts , It was both something I needed to hear , through cypress's prayer and receive a bit of an answer for something on my mind fro the past few days pertaining to "rejection of planted seed" .
On the personal side the "committee upstairs" being in full session as to "Where am I going wrong ? Am I saying the right thing ? Am I not saying what I should " .... on and on ... until , that is , of this reading , hence the prompting of my writing .
Seeking a solution to certain issues I had been struggling with at the time , some hundred years or so ago , I was directed to a certain "self-help" group with the assurance that , if, I didn't like what they had to offer , I didn't have to take their suggestions , kind of a take-it-or-leave-it thing .
Once there , "armed with my issues" , the first answer I heard about was some sort of a concept of a Power Greater than ourselves , God !
My immediate instinctive reaction was , Hah ! what does that have to do with me or the "issues" that I was having ? , See , my so-called issues were far greater than that ! right ? What did I know ? ... BUT ... Upon hearing it , I did a double-take on it regardless . It wasn't until some 10 -15 years of more "suffering" later , and all else failing , left with no other loophole for me to go through that I gave that first suggestion offered a shot . You know what ? , God was the last thing I tried , the first thing that worked ! .
Cypress my brother , they will receive the seed when they are ready , just because right now they don't seem to hear or see what you are offering and going through , it doesn't mean that you're the one doing wrong , they are simply incapable of seeing it now . Now is a passing thing , the future is constant and eternity is definite .
We may not be able to be patient or able to wait for them to receive the Word of Hope , but God can and He's the one to make the final decision as to when and how and through whom the receive Him .
In Christ
Luv ya

Amen! God's perfect timing!
Gen 18:14 "Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son."
Gen 21:2 So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.
Luk 1:20 "And behold, you shall be silent and unable to speak until the day when these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time."
Rom 5:6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
Just pulled up some verses to encourage you that God's timing is always perfect. Sometimes we want things right now and dont understand why they havent happened because we would seem to think that God would want them to happen. But God has His own way of doing things and HIs timing is best. We have to learn to Trust Him and be patient that He is working the good out of every situation. Hard to wrap our minds around that sometimes i know it was for me as well.

Psalms 25:4
Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Hey cypress...step 4 huh? It's a great one don't ya think? You know I often wonder if we would ask God often to show us, lead us, guide us and teach us...how much easier things would be. I find it awesome that you are asking God for guidance. He will begin to show you things now that you haven't seen before, because He knows you are willing to watch and hear...Oh good things to come. Stay strong and hang on to the Faith. God is still right there...and He loves you greatly.
I continue to pray for you.
luv ya
