I want to ask if I was selfish when my mom and my sister past for asking God to let them stay a little longer and if it was wrong for me to do so.

I was told it was a sin for me to ask that and that I would not be forgiven for it.

It hurt for a long time that I would not be forgiven for this and I am just wanting to know others opinion on this???

I dont think its a sin to love people so much that you dont wanna be apart from them. Is it selfish to want them with us all the time? It can be, but God knows our hearts and to be honest with you, I would really love to know who would claim that they go about life being completely unselfish. It would mean we would have to be perfect people, and we def are not that.

And im certainly not in agreement with you not being forgiven for committing a sin. Thats ridiculous and whoever told you that needs to go re-read their bible.

Sis? never take another person's word for it. Always search in God's Word for the truth, because some people can put their own spin on things, even bible scriptures, to try to control and manipulate others.

Im sorry you were hurt but you know what, this is a great opportunity for you to dig into the Word of God and discover for yourself exactly what He has to say about forgiveness and the amazing gift of Grace.

No you didnt commit a sin there and all sin is forgiveable when we ask for forgivness we are forgiven God says he rembers it no more its man that
dont forgive. and itas not selfish if you decide that family or friends and you have the right to decide if they can stay longer. that dont mean you dont love them you need you space to. one again welcome
