Wow Momof3! That was beautiful!
When the flowers bloom I'll think of it differently from now on.
My wedding day.
Well lets see, I was late, only by one hour. I don't see the big deal in this. I had time to get on my dress, do my hair, splash on some make up and do my nails.
Not sure why everyone was freaking out.
Then cubby had two x girl friends there.
But I was the one in the pretty dress.
Maybe that's why people were freaking. They were afraid he'd take off with one of them.
Candles wouldn't light, the cake fell over, the flower girl spilt red punch on my white dress, couldn't find the wine glasses so we toasted with styrofoam cups, and oh so much more went wrong that day!
My favorite memory was when we were at the lake taking pictures and having fun after the wedding before the reception started. We had 3 flights of stairs to climb and me in this very long dress, It was taking me forever. So cubby picked me up and carried me the three flights. It was very romantic and I felt so special.
Was remembering today the day I was suppose to take a plane back to Missouri, but I decided to stay in Michigan. Cubby didn't know I decided to stay in MI. He thought I had left and was on the airplane. Cubby was playing on his baseball team. He was coach. I went to the airport, but came back, with out his knowing it. First thing I had to do was go watch the rest of his game. When you park at this particular ballpark you are at the top of a hill over looking the ballpark. I stood at the top of this hill because he was batting. I wanted to watch him bat then I'd walk down the hill to sit in the bleachers. They had 2 strikes on him. His team was on edge. He stepped out of the batters box and was swinging his bat for a lengthy time. I knew something was really bothering him. He stopped swinging and saw me at the top of the hill. He smiled real big and stepped into the batters box with confidence. The pitch and he swung. Cubby hit the ball out of the park. He ran, though he could of walked, around the bases, up the hill and picked me up and swung me around. I remember his words to this day. "I knew you wouldn't leave me. I just knew it." He put me down and kissed me then ran back to join his team. I walked down the hill to join the fans in the bleachers. People told me they knew something was bothering him, and was his self after I got there.
Eww! Is that mushy! But hey you gotta have that kind of stuff in a thread like this.
Nineteen years later he's still picking me up like that.
He's going to hurt himself one of these days.
I never imagined I would find a person who'd love me as much as Cubby does. And to think, it all started with a prayer. God is good.
