Yes I remember the day I was saved. I did grow up hearing about Jesus, but never accepted Him. I lived a sinner's life for 30 years before I found my one true love. I'm so glad He never gave up on me in those 30 years, that He was still waiting for me when I found Him. It was the most awesome day of my life...it was the day I could finally go to sleep and not worry about if I died tonight where would I go....My Jesus is not only love, forgiveness, and grace, but He is peace.

I've been walking in His steps ever since, and He and I grow closer daily. :)

My Grandmother told me about Jesus. I felt him in her. But she died when I was very young.
When I was about 11 I went to a Christian camp where I was told I was a sinner and was told about hell. I went down and accepted Jesus as my savior so I didn't burn forever in hell.
The next night I was told the same thing so I went down to accept Jesus again.
Then I was told If I was sensire I would be baptised. So I decided to be baptised to keep my soul from hell.
When being explained what baptism meant I accepted Christ as my savior again.
Over the next 8 or so years I accepted Christ as my savior a thousand times. lol Well I didn't count. But it was a lot. Never understanding that It wasn't what I did or could do that saved me from hell.
I grew up feeling like God was waiting for me to mess up so he could toss me into hell.
I didn't understand that I was accepted as Gods child by grace through a loving God until I was about 25.
*angel7* Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

amen yall!!!!

Pine I have to say I grew up catholic but didnt know anything about personal salvation till I was much older too I got saved at 22 1985 (reveals me age LOL) by a personal dream I had had and reading the word as I too studied with a elderly couple but didnt get to finsih the word and still havent but me and my kid did same thing she walked down every week in her sunday school class and her sunday school teacher came to me one day said you know you have a very special young lady there she must really care about getting saved LOL

she walks down every week and I said oh yes isnt she LOL I am so proud of her LOL not knowing that salvation by Grace was different then just saved as I thought when I first got saved, knew it was personal relationship cuz I had studied with jehova witnesses and they used to come over and share weekly and I would share back, I read out of my king james and they read out of there holy scriptures which I didnt know till after there was more than just one bible aka religion and one day we came across some differences and I had to say good bye to my dear elderly friends cuz they believed Jesus was just a prophet and not God the Father and they also believed they was the chosen ones the 144,000 which can't be cuz bible says they are 144,000 male celebete jews...

well it wasnt till I joined the baptist church that I learned personal salvation as being taught in a church and it wasn't till I read a book called saved by grace by oh man she writes series of books she even had a devotional kind of program on tv ... ill have to look up her name but it was that book that taught me about personal salvation but by Grace and then reading it in the bible amen

Saved by Grace yamen! GB awesome thread too ...

I'm bak was kay arthur who wrote the book but dont remember the name was along time now could have been saved by grace or by grace are you saved but was about Gods Amazing Grace amen ...

I was going to my first chruch camp. I was thinking i was such a loser because of it. But what i found out was that it was alot of fun and i learned alot. I remember one night the speaker mike was talking about what are we living for. I couldn't answer that question and i just started crying for the first time in years. My youth leader april came up to me and just started hugging me and i didn't know what to do. She told me just to cry it out. I cried for about 45 mins and then we talked about God. I remember feeling this love that i had never felt before. I decided that i wanted to feel that love for the rest of my life and show other people that. So i got back home and got baptized by my grandpa. My whole family was there; even my mom and dad. I will never forget that weekend or that day.
