God once taught me about listening to His voice (which comes through the Holy Spirit) by using a penny jar. A while back, not long after I was saved, I woke up late on night and looked around and saw this penny jar sitting on the table. While I was looking at it this small voice said, "Move the jar or it will fall."

I thought that was rather dumb, and so I went back to sleep. About an hour later I woke up to this huge crash. I jumped out of bed and started walking around, trying to figure out what had made the noise. Eventually it occurred to me to look on the table where the penny jar had been and sure enough, it was gone. It had fallen off the table right into this cooler that was on the floor and the lid had slammed shut over it. I remember feeling like...wow.

So from this I learned that when I hear His voice, just do what He says - don't think about it, just do it.
