I want to thank God for leading me to this website. I cannot go to church a lot of Sundays due to health problems and other problems. So, I miss the Christian fellowship. But this site is more intimate then any church I have attended. First of all, Christianity Oasis has leaders who have been through it all so when you tell them something they are not shocked. They don't condemn you like other Christian organizations I have been involved with are apt to do. In 2004 my life totally changed. I was involved in church, had a good career, had four children and had been taking care of my elderly parents. I was super woman. So I thought. Then I had several things happen to me and some of my family members.
My oldest son tried to commit suicide, my youngest son was diagnosed with schizophrenia, my Father died, My Mother died, I got cancer, lost my career, lost some of my friends. People actually called me "Job"
I ended up having a bad seizure in 2004 and also had a bad reaction to the medication they put me on. I could have died. I wanted to die. I got depressed and started drinking. I didn't want to live any more. This year in May I cried out to God. This time I did not tell Him how He was going to do things. I let go and let God. The next day I found this site. In the same week He opened up a way for me to have a ministry even though I am house bound. I haven't drank in four months. Through this site I have made friends. I like to think of them as "forever friends" because some day we will be together in Glory with our Saviour. People used to tell me everything happens for a reason and when I was down and out I got angry with that statement. But now I can say with honesty that it is true.
God can use even the horrible things in your life to help others if you let HIm. This is what this site is about. God using broken people for His honor and glory. God using me. Little me, who doesn't even leave the house for days on end. He is using me. Praise His name. Thank you Jesus, Thank you Christianity Oasis.

Amen sis :) This site is filled with the love of Jesus, from the studies, to the forums, to the chat rooms, He is within all of it, and I too am so grateful and blessed to have been brought here.

Thank you so much for sharing your testimony of how God has and is working in your life. And like you said, we cannot try to control our situation, we just have to let it go and give it to Him to handle. Our Lord and Saviour can take the mess we have created in our lives and turn it into something beautiful. Testimonies of His Grace and Love that will help lead others out of the darkness they are trapped in, and show them the Way the Truth and the Life. Such is His Awesome power.

I am so happy He led you here and I pray that He will continue to richly bless you sis.

I love this place too, because wherever I look, I see Jesus. Holy Spirit abounds in here, I can feel it, and from your words I can tell you feel it too.

Sylvia: Thanks for sharing some of your life with us. We are glad you were led here by the Holy Spirit and you have found a place to be comfortable and be able to share your testimonies and the gospel. All of Gods children have trials they must overcome and we must to cling to our ROCK ,Jesus is the only way to overcome. May The God of Love and the Fellowship of the Holy Ghost be with you always. sis..my heart goes out to you..but i'm sooooo glad that you were lead here, we are all just people who are forgiven and loved by Him..and want to see others experience the same...you will find healing here..this is a Holy Spirit run site..and we just love all people with out judging...thats not our job..so come on in and make your self comfy anytime......love you in Him *JesusSign*
