October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hi everyone,
Some of you may already know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There are a lot of events out there to help raise funds for education and research. These include sporting events (like road races), charity auctions, and business promotions to name a few.
Whereas all this is honorable and righteous in many ways, my belief is even more important is getting the word out to become more educated about prevention and treatment. Right now most doctors recommend all women get a baseline mammogram at the latest age 40; if there is a history of breast cancer even earlier.
There is a ton of information on the net regarding breast cancer. American Cancer Society is a good resource to get information as well as WebMD.
If anyone has any comments or feedback please feel free to post on this thread! With God's love and strength we can beat this as well as cancer as an entity. God always has US, the cancer does NOT.
Love you all,
Susi
