I was in need of help

Postby Truesovereigncrown » Tue Sep 16, 2014 1:16 pm

Since i first wrote this i`ve added to it because more has come to my heart and feel needs to be said.
I was here the other night feeling so down, like so many i`ve been going through tough times and been feeling so distant from God,having been pulled down and damaged by insenitive people in chat and unable to find a born again church that could agree among themselves, foolishly i turned to drink an old vice,as i was feeling like throwing in the towel.
But i came seeking support as i have given so much in the past here, and was in need of help, some gave it thank God,the MATURE few here, praise Jesus for them, but i had to pick and choose as most couldn`t have cared less, had no patience or just passed judgement because i was drinking.
We must be truely near Christs return because love really has waxed cold among Christians these last few years,so sad.
I hope that i see you all in heaven but alas so many are just sitting on the Christian band wagon believing them selves to be Christians full of hot air and spouting Bible quotations to sound godly but unwilling to lift a finger to help another in need,at the same time finding great glee in pulling Christians down and thinking it`s funny to hear them suffer, all the while never bothering to read posts in the forums and never contributing.
I`m not surprised to see this place empty most of the time.
I feel many would just see this as whining or being judgemental but i`m not accustomed to turning a blind eye to the truth, and i know that my savior sees it all too.
I`m still hurting that`s obvious but thank Jesus he`s healing me.
People are people no matter what but isn`t that the way of the world.
A day will come when places like this site wont exist, and then we`ll be wishing we had each other to turn to.
I felt this on my heart to say it so i have.
Thanks for the Quotations guys have a few back.

I can't make up my mind whether you're intolerant or others or just judgemental. Maybe a combination of both. Let's look at a few points you raised…

'having been pulled down and damaged by insenitive people in chat' - I seem to remember quite a few times that you've been insensitive also. In fact I distinctly remember a comment about people 'whining because they can't sin anymore'.

'most couldn`t have cared less, had no patience or just passed judgement because i was drinking.' - Again, I remember the same kind of attitude from you when you were all holier than thou because you hadn't had a drink when other people wanted one.

'I hope that i see you all in heaven but alas so many are just sitting on the Christian band wagon believing them selves to be Christians full of hot air and spouting Bible quotations to sound godly but unwilling to lift a finger to help another in need,at the same time finding great glee in pulling Christians down and thinking it`s funny to hear them suffer, all the while never bothering to read posts in the forums and never contributing.' - This whole post sounds like a 'I'm better than you' diatribe that's not only judgemental but also probably deters a lot of people from becoming Christian. Repellent might be a better word.

'I feel many would just see this as whining or being judgemental' - I, for one, see it as judgemental. You're going on about people not lifting a finger to help and not contributing but you don't see what happens here all the time, you don't read private messages and base all of your unfounded accusations on what you see in chat.

The main problem with people like you is the piety and the 'I'm better than you/more Christian than you/Look how spiritual I am' attitude.

Just what i expected from you lasombra, youve never liked me from day one.
All i ever did was try to encourage others and never thought myself better than you or any one else, it was tit for tat the petty quarrels weve had and i remember telling you that i also used to have a drink problem, you just never liked me period so its not worth arguing with you, which is what you enjoy doing.

Quite astonishing how you don't seem to mind criticising others but when it's done to you, you don't like it. The key word is 'used' to have a drink problem - you were all cured and holier than thou about it and that's what's most insulting.

As for me not liking you, it's your general attitude I didn't like. Why post derogatory remarks about people on a forum if you don't want to argue? Seems to me that's the reason this thread was started in the first place.

The encouraging part is pretty ironic - is that what this thread is for, general encouragement? Sounds to me like it's more to bring people down for not being to your high standards.

'Jesus did not come merely to make God`s love possible, but to make God`s love visible.'

Some people should maybe learn to practice what they're so eager to preach.

The two of you do seem to get on each other's nerves. Funny how that happens sometimes. Perfectly nice people get in each other's company and act like wet cats.

I'm sorry you are depressed True. Sometimes we reach out and reach out and reach out, but when we ourselves want to be touched, everybody seems to be under a bush somewhere - nowhere to be found. Many people do think that if they don't feel like being a friend at the moment, then there is no need to be one. That's hardly the way it works.

But it is also true that one is more likely to find what one expects to find. Particularly in human nature. If you expect warm fuzzies, you are much more likely to get them. People do give and love and help. Unfortunately sometimes it is difficult to get into their program or on their schedule. People just don't always see. That includes all of us. Sometimes each and every one of us doesn't see. Dear Lord, Open my eyes and let me see, how you have prepared a way for me to both give and receive.

We need to do both you know. Sometimes we shoe people away who want to help us - but we shouldn't. Learning to receive is important to. I hope you get your timing right, True. And get some warm fuzzies.
Hugs,
Dema
