Re: When the root is Holy the Fruit is Holy.
I thought this would apply here:
SHELBY, NC – A North Carolina woman read the Bible for more than an hour to a man who had slashed her throat, while he held a knife to her neck.
Lindsay Wood, 32, and her 15-year-old son had returned to their Shelby, N.C., home after attending church Wednesday night when the man attacked Wood as her son collected a trash can from outside, the Shelby Star reported.
For more than an hour, her son hid outside while Wood read Scriptures to the attacker and told him about her church, before he apologized and fled, WCNC-TV, reported.
"She even invited him to her church," a police spokesman said. "He kept saying he was sorry, and then walked away."
The woman was rushed to the hospital and required 25 staples in a wound to her neck.
Wood's mother Jane Hamrick said of her daughter, "She doesn't judge people. She doesn't criticize people. She's a unique person."
Hamrick added, "She was doing what her faith led her to do. This is a testimony to the person she is and the faith that she has."
Wood is recovering after undergoing surgery, while police are still hunting the attacker.

Re: When the root is Holy the Fruit is Holy.
Interesting - thought provoking - thread . (well at least it got my thoughts wondering off all over the place) .
Ever noticed ? , that our Lord the Christ/Jesus never did any en-mass "healings" ? (and if He did , they weren't "recorded" ?) , in other words , He never said , or sent any of His followers ahead of Him to any particular region , area , or city asking them to gather ALL the sick on a , say , Tuesday , or Thursday , between the hours of 9 to 5 , or else , they'll miss their chance ? . No , He did ALL His healings on individual basis , ACCORDING to their FAITH . Which brings me to think that the individual must first , have enough FAITH , THROUGH which the healing process would take affect , (except , of course , when our Lord was dealing with Satan directly , and not necessarily the individual , for the so-called "demon-posessed" person(s) had no control over their minds - such as the power hungry people , ie. Hitler , Pharisees and so on - they were too busy with their own "powers" to pay any mind whatever was going on around them )
We can trace the "root of our fruits" all the way to Noah , Abraham , down the line to the woman who thought to herself , "even if I were to touch His garment I will be healed" .
The root of my faith is not as much as in what happened to others according to their faith (or lack of it) , or whether it is recorded or not . It is in the admission of my weakness , that whatever it is is happening in my "world" , good , bad , or otherwise , it is HIM who has the FINAL say ... the good news is , that through the readings and the teachings of the Word , I had come to believe that , I dont have to wait for the "event" to happen before I turn to Him , but rather , "The Kingdom is very near (in the heart) ... Seek that Kingdom in ALL things ... the heart first "
In Christ , our Lord

Re: When the root is Holy the Fruit is Holy.
It is interesting how this forum was interperited by different points of views, I am not sure how it was taken two different ways here, and there wasn't any argument in it. It was simply God showing forth His glory throughout the ages and where it all started. The testimonies and the lives from the begining of time when human was brought into exsistance, and where it is all going in the end. All the wonders found in the bible, and we are the fruit I was talking about those who came to know Jesus, and tracing it all back to the root where God stepped in to win in the lives of humanity no matter how messy it gets in this life. I am just in awe of how God opportates in all that He does.
