Helpful Hints *Clap*

1. Wax the snow shovel well so the snow won't stick.

2. To remove white water marks from furniture or varnished surfaces, apply mayonnaise to spot, rub in let stand an hour, then remove with soft cloth.

3. When boiling eggs, add a tablespoon or two of salt to the water. This loosens the shell and they come off easily.

4. To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.

5. To get the most juice out of fresh lemons, bring them to room temperature and roll them under your palm against the kitchen counter before squeezing.

6. To easily remove burnt on food from your skillet, simply add a drop or two of dish soap and enough water to cover bottom of pan, and bring to a boil on stove-top.

7. Spray your Tupperware with nonstick cooking spray before pouring in tomato-based sauces and there won't be any stains. Pam cooking spray will dry finger nail polish. Pam will also remove paint, and grease from your hands!

8. If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant "fix me up."

9. Place a slice of apple in hardened brown sugar to soften it.

10. When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to help bring out the corn's natural sweetness.

11. To determine whether an egg is fresh, immerse it in a pan of cool, salted water. If it sinks, it is fresh, but if it rises to the surface, throw it away

12. If you have a problem opening jars: Try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.

13. Put some water in a white dinner plate and add just a couple of drops of Lemon Fresh Joy dishwashing soap. Set the dish on a porch or patio. Not sure what attracts them, the lemon smell, the white color, or what, but mosquitoes flock to it, and drop dead, or fall into the water, or on the floor within about 10 ft. Works just super! Enjoy the mosquito free summer!!!!

14) Remove labels off glassware etc. - rub with peanut butter, or with nail polish remover that contains acetate.

15) Peanut butter - will get scratches out of CD's! Wipe off with a coffee filter paper.

16) Burn your tongue? - Put sugar on it!

17) Arthritis? - WD-40 Spray and rub it in. Takes sting out of insect bites, too.

18) Pam will also remove paint and grease from your hands! Keep a can in the garage for your hubby.

19) To keep FRESH FLOWERS longer Add a little Clorox, or 2 Bayer aspirin, or just use 7-up instead of water.

20) Paper cut -! crazy glue or chap stick (glue is used instead of sutures at most hospitals)

21) Mayonnaise will KILL LICE, it will also condition your hair.
