I would like to share with you a prophecy from God given to Patricia Backora about this very thing, which you will find at faithwriters.com or here on Christianity oasis under 'Behold I Seek My Own'
I pray God will deal justly with your enemies and that you can stand firm in your faith by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Leave Room for My Righteous Wrathby Patricia Backora
My Son was not willing that any man should perish (2 Pet.3:9), but that ALL men should come to repentance. Yet Christ preached “Except ye repent, ye shall ALL likewise perish (Luke 13:3). And in case you missed it, He repeated the same warning in verse 5.
The fact that so many do perish instead of repent is no fault of Mine. I provided a Lamb for the redemption of ALL who would come to repentance and faith in Christ (John 1:29). There is a signed and sealed pardon for ALL who would come to My Throne of Grace and pick it up, but so few do.
John 3:16 is the bedrock scripture of evangelists. I so loved the world that I gave My only begotten Son that whoever would believe on Him would not perish, but have everlasting life. But conveniently ignored by most is verse 18, which clearly states that those who do not believe are ALREADY condemned. I can’t do the repenting for the sinner, for that would violate free will. Whosoever WILL may come (Rev.22:17).
So many bullies and men and women of violence are out there in this wicked world waiting to pounce on a lone victim to murder, rob, rape or just verbally harass that one to tear them down. So many times I give such wicked, vile sinners space to repent of their sins, but they refuse all My overtures of mercy and kindness and just spit on the holy things of God out of sheer spite.
It isn’t just genuine God-fearing Christians who get persecuted. Even someone who manifests a poor imitation of holiness in their life will come under fire from the devil’s henchmen, because satan hates anything or anyone who even remotely reminds him of My character. People with a happy, peaceful expression on their faces or someone who appears to be a “square”, honest, decent, kind, hard-working individual will be targeted by loudmouth louts or thugs. Let all oppressed believers who trust in Me ditch the notion that Christ was a weak-wristed milksop Who taught only love, love, love and didn’t believe in justice for victims of violence. Just read Luke 19:27 and Revelation 19:11-21 if you think I shall forever be patient with the unrepentant wicked.
Remember Christ taught about the persistent widow who pleaded with the Unjust Judge: Avenge me of mine adversary (Luke 18:1-7). Christ did not rebuke that widow for demanding her right to be protected from the oppression of her enemy. Christ did not suggest that the widow should patiently bear with her oppressor in love and forget about her own rights. Instead, Christ called the judge unjust because that judge delayed doing what is good and right on behalf of the innocent widow. Many Christians have been taught that it is a sin to demand their own right to live a dignified, peaceful life. Christ taught His disciples to pray for their own deliverance from evil (Matt.6:13). He even commanded them to buy a sword when they were in danger from criminal attack (Luke 22:36).
Some Christians teach and believe that vengeance is a dirty word and every evil person should be forgiven automatically and have their slate wiped clean whether or not there is genuine, heartfelt repentance toward God and faith in My Son. That is a distortion of the truth. I teach love toward enemies. But there comes a point where My patience toward hard-hearted sinners is utterly exhausted and I must finally judge them.
Never take your own vengeance, beloved. My heart aches for those who are lost and on their way to hell. But sometimes I must punish sinners even in this life. Why? Because you, as heirs of God in Christ, have a right to live in My peace and joy. Sometimes you must, for a season, bear with ugly, mean, spiteful people. But when the situation becomes so intolerable that you no longer sing praises unto me and you are troubled and sad most of the time, it is then you are losing My rest and even the dwelling place of My Spirit within you is being troubled.
Whenever My people are unduly obsessed with self-preservation and how to steer clear of violent, hateful enemies, I am robbed of praise and thanksgiving in the life of that believer. Even the inner Temple of My Spirit is troubled as joy and peace give way to worry and turbulence. I know you do your best not to fret about negative things, but whenever My sheep are disturbed by satan’s little gnats they’re not lying down peacefully in green pastures enjoying My Presence.
It’s bad enough that satan often robs My people of their material possessions. But when he crosses a certain line and steals away the eternal treasures of My people, then I stir up all My wrath to come in fury against the devil’s instruments of sin. The devil has NO RIGHT to rob you of My rest and peace, provided by the blood of My only Son!
As a New Testament believer, you are forbidden to take your own vengeance. But you are not forbidden to claim and stand upon scriptures, especially those also included in the New Covenant. Paul states in Romans 12:19 that I will repay people for the harm they do you. Vengeance is mine.
Romans 12:19: Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.* * *Here Paul repeats a teaching already stated in the Old Testament:
Deuteronomy 32:35: To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
When you “give place” unto My just wrath against sin, you MAKE ROOM FOR my righteous wrath against sin. You step aside to clear the way for it to burst forth against your enemies. Get out of the way and let ME smite those who are making your life a misery instead of the blessing I meant it to be.
Galatians 5:10: I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
2 Thes.1:6: Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
2 Pet.2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
Don’t be misguided by misplaced sympathy for the bull(ies) who hurt you. Even if you yourself are able to “tough it out” and take their blows for a lifetime, others aren’t so able to endure it. Don’t think you’re the only one they’re picking on and harassing. Consider others in the line of fire. Unless you pray for judgment to come upon your unrepentant persecutors, others will likely be bitten by those rabid dogs. Pray earnestly for Me to punish those dogs who are soiling on the peace and joy of your life. Not just for your own sake but for the benefit of others your enemies could hurt or damage for a lifetime. Plead Romans 12:19 in your prayer room. Ask other Christians to stand with you in prayer. Remind Me of My promise to exact vengeance upon those who have already hurt you and refused to repent of it.
If those cruel bullies won’t let Christ pay for their awful sins, then they’ll have to pay for their sins themselves. And of them I shall exact the uttermost farthing till the whole debt is paid.
