I am new to this site, just discovered it the other night, and am finding it very encouraging. I am going through a tough time right now, dealing with a lot of health issues which have resulted in losing my job. I am trying to trust God and not feel sorry for myself, but I feel I am failing miserably in general.
I suppose the hard times are meant to draw us closer to God, but I wish there weren't quite so many hard times! Would appreciate prayers, thanks!

I know it is difficult. I've found in my own life that when I pray, let it go and focus on others, my own stuff goes so much better. Over and over I've seen:
Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you.

But it is still difficult. What's that all about?

The faith walk should be a lot easier - right?

Do what you know to do. And focus on God and others. Make it a goal anyway. It makes a huge difference.
