My mom is having catract surgery today on her left eye. She is really, really nervous. She has even talked about backing out, but my aunt and I will not let that happen. I am up this morning to make sure she follows the doctors orders and to keep her company. I can't say I don't fear something going wrong or even her getting seriously hurt. Though, I do know the surgery is common. I don't think there will be much problems after the surgery. After the surgery is over, the biggest thing will be for her not to try and walk by herself. She has limited mobility right now with the sight she does have. She is already suscepible to falling and hurting herself before the surgery. After the surgery, it will be nearly impossible for a day or two for her to get around on her own.

Praying for your mum with this surgery ...... that all will go well; for her healing ....... for peace of mind; and also for you angel

Im praying that everything is fine and her vision is restored.

My mom went to the eye doctor again today for post-operative exam. There was a little swelling, but thatis normal. It makes her vision a little blurry. However, it should clear up soon. She goes back the 30, and if everything goes well, she will have the second eye done July 12.

hope things have continued to improve with her recovery?

Her vision is still slightly blurry, but the swelling has lessened. That is about all I know until she goes back to the doctor Thursday.

My mom went to doctor yesterday. There is still some infection in the left eye. So, they gave us another bottle 5mL eye drops to place in that eye three times a day. Next Tuesday, they will operate in the right eye if all goes well.

May this be cleared up quickly.
