I'd like to ask you all to join me in prayer for a friend of mine and her granddaughter. My friend's granddaughter tried to commit suicide a couple of weeks ago and was in the hospital for a week. It's a blessing that she is still alive...but they are having to keep someone to watch her at all times...and if she were to be able to get an opportunity it is thought she will try again.

My friend is just torn up...and I saw her this afternoon and she says she feels like God is so far away right now. She said her granddaughter said she can't do anything right...including killing herself. She said they are trying to get the granddaughter some professional counseling now...but getting her in is like pulling teeth as they don't have insurance...so they are trying to get free assistance...but it's taking forever to them...and in the meantime they are worried continually about her.

Prayers are really needed for my friend and her granddaughter and family.
