Thank you all for your initial and continued prayers.

Tomorrow I go to the County hospital to see the Family Care Clinic doctor. She will schedule me for any and all tests she finds are necessary.

The "Every Woman Counts" program pays for one of each of the following per year: mammogram, biopsy, ultrasound, and Pap test.

I have NEVER had a mammogram, and I am 53.

All you ladies, be sure to have your mammograms done.

I have to be at the hospital at 7:30 am, go talk to someone in Patient Accounts, then go to my doctor appointment at 8:00 am.

Good news---I've been in contact with my Senior Pastor's wife---Robin---and at my request, will be having a lady from the church accompany me to my appointment when I go to get the results from all tests. I just don't want to be alone at that appointment.

It will be good to have someone with me in case I get the diagnosis of cancer. That way, someone can take notes and ask questions. I don't know what frame of mind I'll be in if the news is cancer. Just to be with someone who is a fellow Christian will be comforting. And who knows? Maybe this person can become a friend.

Happy upcoming Resurrection Day on April 12th, everyone!

Love from your sister in Christ------

PAMELA *Leopard*

WHAT THE DOCTOR SAID . . . .

Postby Show Forth the Praises » Mon Mar 30, 2009 12:54 pm

I've just returned from Riverside County Regional Medical Center's Family Care clinic.

The doctor did the exam. She said: "Oh, my! Oh, my! You have a very large, solid lump, dimpling, inversion, pitting, a large solid mass in the lymph node area under your arm and discoloration."

She said with something this large in size, I would very likely get a diagnosis tomorrow at my ultrasound/biopsy.

The doctor advised me that since I'm not married, to get a double mastectomy.

I feel so bad now.

She wants me to return in two weeks.

I want to go home to Heaven!

Hello, everyone:

I just received the most wonderful news!

Robin, my Senior Pastor's wife---offered to go with me to my ultrasound and biopsy appointment tomorrow!

I praise God for this!

Robin is a very kindhearted, compassionate, caring person. Her face and eyes radiate the love of Christ. We are meeting at the church tomorrow, and she will be driving us to the hospital.

How wonderful not to be alone when I get my diagnosis tomorrow!

God knows how to send His comfort!

Thank you all for your prayers.

I just got home from the County hospital.

Whew! What a place!

My senior pastor's wife, Robin, drove us to my appointment, and waited in the waiting room for me. She is beautiful---her face and eyes radiate with the love of Christ, and her love for Christ.

I had an ultrasound. The technician said there was a mass larger than 4 centimeters. (whatever size a centimeter is!)

The tech said I'd get the results of the ultrasound in 2 weeks.

Before I left the ultrasound room, the technician got a phone call. She motioned for me not to leave, then asked me if I had time for a mammogram. I did. My first mammogram in 53 years.

Then someone came over to me, gave me a card, and said I will get the results in 2 DAYS instead of 2 weeks. I think I am having the biopsy on 4-02, also.

My Pastor's wife was so comforting, encouraging to uplifting to have with me! How I praise God for her. Robin wants me to come to the church at 8:00 am 4-02, and she is going with me to that appointment, also.

Thank you all for your kindness and prayers.

God will get me through this, no matter what the outcome.

"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow . . . "

Hello, everyone! It is a beautiful early spring day here in Southern California.

This morning, Robin and I went to the County Regional Medical Center.

Since yesterday, after praying, I am filled with God's peace and comfort. It is indescribable! I feel like a little girl, safe in her Daddy's arms. And indeed, I am.

The doctors had the results of the mammogram and ultrasound, but would not share them with us until ALL test results are in.

Today I had a biopsy.

Tomorrow at 7:00 AM, I have a bone scan at the Regional Medical Center, and after that, a CT scan. They are checking me for bone and/or spinal cancer, fractures, etc.

The doctor would only say that at this point it is "highly likely" that it is cancer.

God did incredible miracles today---He gave me favor and rolled out the red carpet for His child!

First----my nurse at the clinic today attends the same church that I do, and she is in the same Monday night women's study that I am!!!

I was asked to go to patient accounts so they could change a code.

Second----I HAVE BEEN GRANTED "FULL SCOPE" MEDI-CAL health insurance! It covers EVERYTHING---vision, dental, medical. It is California's version of a PPO.

Years ago, a Medi-Cal administrative law judge denied my appeal, and denied me Medi-Cal.

God gave me Medi-Cal health insurance!!! I have been without health insurance for 6 years! The lady that signed me up for Medi-Cal is a Christian, and she was sharing with Robin and I beautifully.

Robin can't make it tomorrow to my bone scan and CT scan, so she has arranged for another lady who works at the church to drive me to my appointment and be with me throughout. Praise God for His love and tender care!

I am so happy! Praise You Lord Jesus!

"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow . . ."

Love and hugs from your sister in Christ---------

Hello, everyone.

I had a big problem many, many times today with dizziness. While walking, laying down, getting up from a prone position. Embarassing.

Rather than risk a fall, I have decided to use a cane. My friend from church "Barbara" loaned me her cane. She has a fantastic testimony, and is a very nice lady. We are new friends.

This morning I met Barbara at the church. I could not get up into her van. I could not get into the back seat. I asked her if she'd drive us in my vehicle, so she did.

Praise God---my vehicle is a stick shift, and Barbara KNOWS HOW to drive a stick! So few people do these days. Another miracle from God.

We were at the Regional Medical Center for 7 hours. A complete full-body scan was done. The doctors are looking for bone tumors, bone cancer, fractures, hot and cold spots.

I also had a CT scan.

Results of CT, bone scan, mammogram, and ultrasound on April 9, 2009 at 8:45 AM.

I am so very tired, and I feel deep peace. God's peace which only He can give.

I'm feeling increasingly fatigued, increasingly dizzy.

Robin will be with me when I get my results. I asked her to please sit or stand near me when the results are given.

She is very loving and comforting.

Most importantly, God will be with me when I get all results. God is love.

Love and hugs from your sister in Christ-----------------

PAMELA
